FEAR OF GOD finally broke up today, on October 22 1988.  I know this will sound a little bit confusing as we recently have had reformed, after a longer pause.

I don't want to make this sound more important than it actually is, but I feel the urge to set some things straight.

Everyone in the band knew since quite a long time that it was over with FEAR OF GOD.  That was for one reason because everyone in the band got totally fed up with the so-called 'Noise Scene' and we were trying to stay away from this 'scene'.  Osi, Erich and Tschösi didn't like the music anymore and the whole group was fed up with the 'ideology' (ha!) of that scene as well.  Then we ourselves didn't get that satisfaction anymore that we once felt, the music just got too boring.

FEAR OF GOD have broken up and never ever will reform (unlike to what happened in the past after every of our split-ups).

Now this does not mean we (Dave, Tschösi, Osi and Erich) will never play together in a band again, as we will try to form a new group which hopefully will be more satisfying.  Maybe it works, if not, who cares?

Please don't write for FEAR OF GOD any longer.  The books are written and it's good that it's finally over.
