| Me on top of Stob Ban with Ben Nevis behind. The white quartzite slopes
of Sgurr a'Mhaim climb to the right. Real snow is visible on the Ben and Aonach
Beag (to the right on the horizon). Glen Nevis is the valley between me and the
Ben. The narrow road up the glen ends just to the right of me, under the barely
visible waterfall. A track then heads up the glen alongside the impressive
Nevis Gorge and then right up the glen, eventually ending up at Corrour and its
basic railway station. The tourist path up the Ben slogs up the easy left-hand
slopes to the summit. Real trampers cross the exciting Carn Mor Dearg arete to
the right. |
