The pride of the zoo is their pair of tigers. In 1996, they presented the zoo with 3 cubs, two of whom are shown above (standing) next to their proud mother (lying down). Their father is not in the enclosure with them since in the wild they tend to kill or drive off older cubs. In May 1998, the cubs were sent off to other zoos.
