Looking over to the bare granite highlands of Mt. Owen in the Kahurangi National Park. Mt. Owen itself is the peak at the center (almost concealed by the nearer Hope Range). The valley stretching across the bottom third of the photo contains the Buller River - one of the best whitewater rivers in New Zeland. This photo was taken at the junction of the track up from Bushline Hut and the main track along Robert Ridge (just above Relax Shelter).
