Looking east to the junction of the Travers and Arnst Rivers. The Travers runs north along the first valley in the photo. The Arnst runs south out of the valley over the lefthand ridge and then west to join the Travers. At the bottom of the picture is a couple of the many tarns in the various basins along Robert Ridge. A good option in fine weather is to camp overnight at one of the tarns.
