Carroll

From: Gary & Melinda Taylor
Date: 24 November 2001
Where: Kelly Range, Arthur's Pass National Park
Description: DOC (7)
Access: 2 hours steep climb from a roadside shelter.
Comments: Carroll Hut, looking South down the valley towards Otira and Arthur's Pass. There is a car park on the left hand side of the road, approx 4km, heading North from Otira village. The hut sleeps eight people and is not heated. DOC plan to demolish this hut as the walls are rotting from inside. But the good news is that a replacement is on the cards.
