This alpine destination is most famous for its fabulous alpine powder down hill runs and expansive nordic ski areas, including a summit lift topping out at 9,030 feet. It is located near South Sister and Broken Top, offering a close up view of their majesty just miles away. Trails and climbing opportunities abound in this area. Winter and summer recreation activities are plentiful in the area even if you don't downhill ski. A summer hike to Bachelor's summit can offer beautiful views all around central Oregon from the Cascades to the high deserts found futher to the east.
