If you've clicked here then I guess it's because you want to know what my handle means. No, it doesn't mean that I want to have cybersex with you. It doesn't mean that I want you to "groove me" or "grove" me, for those of you who just can't seem to put that other "o" in there. :) Here's the story, morning glory:

When I was about 7 or 8 my aunt gave me a little (45) record with the song "Groove Me" on it. I listened to it over and over and over and I still have the record today--25 or so years later. :) The song is by a singer called "King Floyd" and it's an R&B song. He sang the song for the first time in 1970. I never heard the song on anything until a couple of years ago when I watched the movie "Beautiful Girls" and heard it. :) It's now also on the "Austin Powers-Goldmember" commercials - normally when they are showing the Foxy Cleopatra character (Beyonce Knowles). It's also on a commercial for Lever 2000 and a commercial for Dannon "fruit on the bottom" yogurt, where the construction workers are eating the yogurt and "groovin'."
