Mt. Data National Park
Mt. Data National Park is 50 km north of Baguio City along
the Halsema Highway that winds it's way to Bontoc and Northern Luzon. Several
buses leave Baguio for Bontoc each day and because of the twists and turns,
the actual travel distance is closer to 100 km and takes 6-7 hours.
The park was established in 1936 and expanded to 5,512
ha in 1940. Mt. Data's peak is 2,310 m high and straddles the boundaries
of Benguet, Mountain and Ifugao Provinces and includes pine forests. Mt.
Data Lodge is operated by the Philippine Tourism Authority.
