On August 10th 1997, at an environmental fair held at Stanley Beach. Ten trials riders showed up, to help out and to show the fair participants just what trials riding is all about.

Now you may ask 'what does trials riding have anything to do with saving the environment?' Well not a lot, but riding bikes is very environmental, and doing shows such as this will help promote this sport further and get more people on bikes. So trials riding at this show is justified.

Other than the show they had also helped out with the fair, offering tips on basic off road biking skills and a simple obstacle course for the participants to try out their riding skills.

The fair site offered a great selection of terrain for the riders to test out their own skills. With a rock beach, a pier and a soccer court with a stage, the possibilities were only limited by the riders' imaginations.

The show was a great success, the riders had one hell of a good time riding and most importantly the fair participants had fun, learnt more about this sport and who knows, maybe they may one day get themselves a bike, and get out side and ride!

Quote of the day:

"What you guys are doing have nothing to do with saving the environment! I'm outta here!" - Said an unidetified reporter, after spending ten minutes taking photos of the riders.
