Trips: Tully Lake/Long Pond

Located in Royalston, MA Tully Lake/Long Pond is where we do most of our paddling. Tully Lake is controlled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is a beautiful picnic spot with a well kept trailer boat launch.

The launch allows access to an island filled lake that offers many paddling routes towards a long meandering stream that leads to Long Pond. Along the way to Long Pond there is another canoe launching spot which offers another parking choice.

This set of waters is a great place to paddle with low amounts of powerboats and a great diversity of wildlife. We have seen great blue herons, beaver, otter, osprey, king fisher, several species of turtles, and many other species of birds. A great blue heron is pictured to the left.
