Christmas Poem

Composed by you for fun!

Your Christmas Poem
What a wonderful time of the year,
everyone is laughing and full of good cheer,
singing songs and in anticipation,
of surprises and having some fun.
What a wonderful time of the year,
Rudolph in the eggnog and elves in the beer.
Our stockings are hung with great hopes for the day,
I hope they remember we live by the bay!
What is Dancer and Prancer fall sick and can't fly?
The children will whimper and surely will cry.
Though they listen and listen, they never will hear,
The prancing and pawing of eight happy reindeer.
Then Father will surely be put to the test,
To deliver the presents to all of the rest.
He'll dress up in boots and a cap and the gear,
Take a taxi to Hobby and fly in on the Lear.
Is that the real meaning of Christmas?
Christmas is not just about gifts and toys,
But about a little babe born that day long ago
With shepherds and wise men watching the boy.
Cattle and sheep lowing in the fields silent and still,
Knowing that day was the most special of all.
Their government failing,
like the US and all,
with Wise men approaching,
they gathered in the stall,

Above them the star shone,
alighting the night,
they were there to be taxed,
Joseph and Mary, alone in their plight,

The heavens erupted with glorious song,
the victory would be won, it wouldn't be long,
against hatred and death,
bringing truth and love,
to all on that blessed night,
Peace was sent from above..

Retailers rejoice, though their employees are
fraught with tired despair
for all the customers want
is not always there.
The season is not easy
and some certain expectations
on us mere elves
make us queasy.
Please!When shopping be kind
and the real true meaning of Christmas
keep in mind.Marty
Christmas is giving and receiving.
It is that warm feeling,
The feeling you get when you receive
or give.
That's what Christmas is.John
