Identification: Head and body 18"-28"; tail 8"-12"; weight 12-35 lb. Often seen dead along the highway. Body pepper and salt mixture. May e recognized by the black mask over eyes and alternating rings of yellowish white and black on tail.
Habitat: Chaparral, rocky ridges and cliffs; near water.
