It's not all smooth sailing though.
Sometimes when the walls start closing in,
the best thing you can do is just head for the hills.
Trying to keep a focused and sane head on your shoulders
is possibly the most difficult part of cancer treatment.
Fortunately I have some very good friends who open their beautiful home
to me whenever I feel the need to be on my own.

As I write this I am looking out a huge window onto a rose garden.
Beyond are rolling green hills and magnificent
gum trees following the course
of the Agnes River.
The only sounds are of silence (and the odd sheep).
