This started out as a light air race, and went lighter. We started in the middle of the line, and made our way slowly toward the first mark. Skybird was in first. After the first few tacks, it became apparent that we were slow. This night we couldn't get the boat moving.
We were fourth at the windward mark, and we slowly crept up on the leaders, but they were way ahead. By the time we made it to the turning mark to the harbor, we realized that the time limit of 90 minutes had expired, and that no one had finished. We pulled down the sails, turned on the engine, and motored in.
