Who We Are Is Who We Were

Hoop has always felt a link with her ancestors. She believes that what she is today is because of them even though she has never met most of them. She has been told the stories of her ancestors that other family members have passed down from one generation to the next. She feels she owes it to them that they are not forgotten. Afterall, who we are today is who were were yesterday.
