African Queen - After watching the movie umpteen times, I fell in love with that piece of junk! In 1982, Key Largo attorney Jim Hendricks, a devoted fan of Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, discovered the rotting hull of the African Queen in an Ocala, Fla., cow pasture. He purchased the boat for $65,000 and spent another $65,000 to recondition her. Today, the vessel is moored in Key Largo, where visitors may board her for brief voyages to relive some of the movie's nostalgia.
