What's the difference between a clipper and a windjammer? About 50 years! By 1895, larger sailing ships built of steel - windjammers, were proving sturdier and more economical than clippers.Names like Antiope, Arapahoe, Arctic Stream, Parma, Preussen, Wavertree.
Some are still around today, like the Star of India out of San Diego.
