Chocolate No Bake Cookies

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa

Place in a large saucepan and bring to a rolling boil over medium heat. When mixture has reached a rolling boil, Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and add the following ingredients:

1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups raw oats (quick)
1 tsp vanilla extract

Beat together well with a large spoon. Then drop by teaspoonfulls onto waxed paper (which is sitting on top of a cloth). Cool before eating.

Makes about 30 cookies (2 to 2-1/2 inches in diameter)


Wagon Wheel Cookies

4 eggs (beaten)
Add 2 cups granulated sugar
2tsp vanilla
1/2 cup margarine
4 squared of melted chocolate
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup nuts

Stir together. Chill overnight. Make into balls the size of walnuts, roll in confectioner's sugar. place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 F for 12-15 minutes.

Cook on rack.


Jubilee Jumbles

1/2 cup soft shortening or margarine
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3/4 cups all purpose flour (sifted)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 package dates (chopped)

Mix margarine, sugar and eggs. Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and stir into mixture. Stir in nuts and dates. Chill dough 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonsfull onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 F for 10 minutes.

Burnt Butter Glaze

Heat 2 Tblsp BUTTER until golden brown. Add 2 cups of confectioner's sugar and 1/4 cup undiluted evaporated milk and beat until smooth.

Dip HOT cookies into glaze to ice them.


Brownies

Mix contents of 1 package of Jell-o Chocolate Pudding and Pie Filling with 1/2 cup unsifted flour adn 1/4 cup baking powder.

Melt 1/3 cup butter; remove from heat and add 2/3 cup sugar. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time. Blend in 1 tsp vanilla extract and pudding mix. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped nuts.

Spread in greased 8 inch square pan.

Bake at 350 F for 35 minutes.

Cool in pan. Frost with icing if desired. Cut into bars.

Makes 18 bars.
