Since we got here the days have been stupidly hot. Today was no different although it did look like lightning in the morning.
I don't know what was with the kids today but getting control seemed really hard for the leaders to get today. Laura seemed to have her bad day so I did my best to rescue her when I could. Swap Shop seemed to go by amazingly fast although a few kids kept going and going.
Phil and Nina went for a poutine at the chip wagon. I went to drop off my film and then I joined them. I had ice cream. We got home and found that a huge package arrived for us. A rock and mineral ID kit along with our petty cash check. Now we can say it's a really hard rock and not just a rock. She also gave us some rock workshop sheets so we can fill in some time somewhere along the way.
Phil and I play some football with Dave and some kid for a while. Then Nina and I go for a long paddle. We scope out a really nice spot but there is a group of about 30 kids on it and they said that there would be another group about the same size tomorrow. So we move on. Then we saw this beauty site. A nice spot for Phil's tent and my hammock. A nice diving rock, a beauty slope for swimming. Just about perfect. We made it back around 10:00 then it was pretty much off to bed.
