Welcome to my little Scout Hut. This is where I have put all the links that revolve around one of the biggest things in my life...Scouting!

I have been involved in Scouting for about 18 years now both as a youth member in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Rovers, as well as an adult leader for 5 years with Cubs and 4 years with Scouts. During that time I have had the oppertunity to meet a great number of people who are extremely interesting. I was also the recepiant of the Certificate of Meritorious Conduct with my uncle several years ago.

During my time as a Rover I had the honour of being the Chair of the Ontario Rover Council for one year and an Executive member for another three years. Unfortunately I turned 27 and now am no longer eligable to be a Rover. However I still keep in touch with my Rover and Scouting friends and we have a blast whenever we get together.

I'm currently involved with the Service Team in my District and am still an active leader in the Scout Troop of a local group. I higly doubt that I will ever stop being involved in Scouting although my time commitment might eventaully decrease as I enter the real work force. But until that day I'll still be involved with the youth and having fun.

Well here are a few places that might help you out if you're looking for ideas, information, or help with some Scouting stuff.

1st Sudbury's Rover House has been up for a few years now. Unfortunately the Crew has folded but you can still find out about the Crew history, some of the stuff that we did, see some photos of us, and learn about the crest we designed that was the talk of the town for a while.
The Ontario Rover Community web page has info on Rovering around the province of Ontario. Find out who your reps are, what's going on with Provincial and National Council, where and when the best moots are and when we meet. The meetings are a blast and we even manage to get some work done too.
The Scouts Canada home page will be able to tell you just about everything you wanted to know about anything in Scouting. Program updates, earth shattering decisions, new materials, program ideas, and more. It's just been updated too.
The Gaelic Wolf Scouting Page has some international Scouting links.
The Games Compendium has a listing of games that is broken down into categories. And if you know a game that isn't listed you can submit it.
The MacScouter page isn't a page just for Scouters who use a Mac.
The Sudbury District home page is done by my good friend Akela. Check out what's going on in the District, view some old crests, and get updates via e-mail about program workshops and training and just about everything else you would want to know about.
The Animated Knots Page is done by a group of Scouts in the U.K. It has a bunch of knots and an animated picture on how to tie the knot, as well as tips on how to tell if the knot is tied successfully, when and how to use the knot and other information. It's pretty cool. A definite must see for the Scouter who isn't sure how to tie knots.
Scoutsys is a program written by an Ontario Scouter. It's a Troop organizational tool for the computer. I highly recommend it. There is also a program for Cubs, Beavers, Venturers and Group Committees. He has also written programs for the American Scouting program. All programs come in DOS and Windows modes.
