About Michael Forrest: |
My health problems and my spiritual experiences
have defined my life more than anything. |
HEALTH: Having had to quit my job and move in
with my parents at the proud age of 24 caused me to swear off all forms of
physical self-abuse in order to enable my body to heal itself and keep itself
healthy from then on. So I became a total health nut, cured myself of a number
of serious conditions, and have kept my promise to myself ever since. I've
denied myself many scrumptious pleasures, but have enjoyed having my health much
more than enjoying a few minutes every day of chemical/fat/sugar-laden
"goodies". Hey, a few years ago I was the fastest motocross rider in
my class of racers in Paraguay. I had the strength and stamina to outdo 20 year olds. Motocross is very physically demanding. I think that the fun and the "high" of sports is much better than any
bad junk food habit.

SPIRITUALITY:
Although I was raised in a very orthodox religion, I wasn't ever impressed with
it. The people most involved with it showed little or no spiritual
transformation in their life. I figured that if God was in a persons life that
there would be great changes and substantial spiritual "force" in
their life. So I got out of it once I escaped the control of my
parents. A few years previous I had a bad accident that caused me to have a
near-death experience that transformed my outlook and set me on a path of spiritual inquiry.
While out of my body (experiencing myself as pure spirit) I experienced God
and felt his all encompassing acceptance/love and peace. It was an overwhelming
experience to say the least. Since then I've had no doubt in God's existence,
our eternal existence, and the truth of our being, that is that we are truly
sprits temporarily occupying bodies. Consequently I've also been somewhat disconnected
from "time", and have the habit of seeing past the facade of peoples
bodies to see who they truly are. I've also become somewhat psychic. My religion
has become purity of heart and soul, conversations with God, connection to nature
(God's handiwork), and universal love. |
WORK:
I've had the good fortune to be able to provide alternative electronic medical devices to people
all over the world. I did this while living in Costa Rica and Paraguay. I started the
business so people could get the same kind of help I had received from using the devices
(and still do). I had used them to get over the viral form of Chronic Fatigue and a sytemic
candida infection (and some other minor things). But the business died down and now I am back in the States and am
working for an employer as an electronics technician. It's OK but doesn't pay much. "Service" is an essential part of any spiritual life. I'd still also offer the medical
devices for human use but it is illegal to do so from the good ole over-regulated USA.

POLITICS:
Oh, it is truly the great divider. That, and religious doctrine. I don't like to take sides with anything other
than what I consider truth. So I have no political affiliations, only opinions. I love this country, but not its government.
Big money interests have taken it over and now it is a pawn in the game plan of the super rich globalists. As has
happened all through history, governments have directed public opinion to help fulfill their own goals. We are all
headed toward the bible-predicted global government. America is being purposely weakened so that there will be an even
playing field amongst the 1st world countries. That is what I see as the truth, unlovely as it is. Hate me or love me, I have
to speak the truth in love. I wish we were all on the verge of a utopian society but that is kind of impossible given
normal human tendencies. Anyone who is an expert at understanding history surely has a spiritual understanding because
there is no other way to understand how mankind can be such a continual disgrace and shame without understanding
that man is just a mere cerebral animal with mostly survival, procreative, and power-or-pleasure-seeking as his main goals until
he transcends his basic tendencies to ascend to loftier more-humanitarian thinking and feeling. Mans version of a global
society will be a kind of dictatorship. God's version will be global peace and love, and plenty for everybody because no one
will be hoarding or wasting. I vote for God's version.

Why "Dragonfly"?
The American Indians understood the various creations of God to be symbolic of different esoteric/spiritual "things".
When I moved back home to recover my health I used to walk out into the wilderness to enjoy nature and meditate. Often, after
meditating, I would open my eyes and would see that dragonflys were keeping me company, resting on the ground to my left and
right. Years later I looked at a book about the Indian "totems" (animal symbology). It said that the dragonfly, with its big
complex eyes, was a symbol of the ability to look beyond the illusions of life. That's exactly what I was seeking, knowledge
of reality beyond the facade of this life. I wanted to see what was really real (by God's viewpoint). So that's why
my business is called Dragonfly Enterprises. As a great man once said; our work should be in harmony with our beliefs and
insights, an extension of who we truly are.
