I started writing as a teenager, inspired by poetic and creative
friends. It was one of the ways we communicated our feelings
with each other and I have just continued doing it. Since most
of those earlier inspirations have retired from writing (or
retired from my life!) I am happy that I have found a community
of new writer-friends online.
