Jasmine Flowers
They met one bright spring morning
in a botanical garden so serene
He gazed upon her in her sheer white dress
she looked just like a dream
And he the avid dreamer
had a smile upon his face
As he watched her delicate beauty
each movement had such grace
She came upon the jasmine flowers
and she kneeled upon the ground
She touched them very lightly
breathed deep the aroma all around
He knew right there and then
that his heart was no longer his
For his eyes have never gazed upon
true beauty such as this
Two months later he pledged his love
and gave to her a ring
Slipped on a jasmine flower
like the ones they knew in spring
Time went by so quickly
and she soon became his bride
They gave each other love and strength
sensativity, security and pride
He brought her jasmine flowers
each and every holiday
For they expressed more love
than his words could ever say
As each of their 3 children
came as blessings to their life
He brought a jasmine flower
to his precious loving wife
A dark day fell upon him as he
recieved a call at work one morning
An anurism took his beauty's life
without a hint or warning
He thought that he could not go on
a million tears he shed
He tossed and turned within his sleep
upon his empty lonely bed
He begged for God to take him too
and pounded his fists in rage
Without his love how could he
make it through another day
He missed her oh so badly
as each day went by in pain
He asked the sun to shine no more
he begged the clouds for rain
To wash away the memories
that seemed never to leave his mind
And then the thought occured to him
to ask for some sort of sign
That she will still be with him
though he cannot see her face
Or hear her gentle loving words
or feel her warm embrace
He drifted off to sleep
it was a peacefull one this time
And when he awoke he almost thought
that he had lost his mind
A tiny jasmine flower was
on the pillow by his side
He knew it had to be left by her
he felt it deep inside
Finally that loving smile of his
was back upon his face
And when he looked ouside his window
jasmine flowers were every place
He knew this was a sign to him
that she is always there
All he need do is look around
and breathe the jasmine scented air
True love goes on forever
and will ever be in his heart
It's something not any distance
or even death can pull apart
