DLIS was started in 1983 to train and develop hardcore library and
information science professionals to meet the issues and
challenges in this field. Library and Information Science
Association (LISA) and Alumni Association of Library and
Information Science (AALIS), the organs of DLIS are jointly conducting many successful programmes
for the past five years.
