DEATH BY CHOCOLATE

21-ounce package brownie mix, (prepare batter per instructions)
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur
....or 1 tsp. sugar mixed with 1 cup black coffee
Two 2.8-ounce packages instant chocolate mousse,
....prepared according to package directions
....or two 4-serving packages instant chocolate pudding
Eight 1/4 ounce chocolate-covered toffee candy bars,
....(like Skor or Heath),coarsely crushed
12-ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Preheat oven and bake brownies in a 9x13-inch baking pan
according to directions. Allow to cool completely.
Use a fork to prick holes in the top of the cooled brownies.
Drizzle with liqueur or coffee.

Break up the brownies into small pieces. Place half in
the bottom of a large glass bowl or trifle dish. Cover with 1/2
of the mousse, then 1/3 of the candy and 1/2 of the topping.
Repeat layers. top with remaining crushed candy. Cover and
chill for at least two hours before serving.

Makes 24 servings. (You don't want to know the stats on this!)
