Winners of the inaugural UTS Kent's Golf Tournament, held in sweltering conditions that morning...Donie, a converted hurler, chuffed with his first ever golfing trophy, in his first ever game! Now we have our own Tiger... Donkey Lonergan. Rumours abound that Declan actually fixed the teams so he'd win. They remain unsubstantiated...
Probably the hardest part of having a club in somewhere like the Emirates is that the turnover of members is very high...and this year we said goodbye to some sterling performers and great club people...John Dennigan, Kieran Walsh, John Moran, Donie Lonergan and Anthony Carey from the lads...and Ann Marie Galvin, Siobhan Ni Threasaigh, Sarah Howard, Fiona Kilcommins, Maura Geoghegan and Yvonne Mangan from the ladies...all will be missed greatly
And then on to the other awards of the night...firstly an award for outstanding contribution to the club over nine long years went to Dixie Collins
...Club person of the year went to Aine Fay, for all her help and support throughout the year, especially when she was injured.
Most improved player...the girl from Burren, Co. Down, Cathy McFerran

Hurler of the year...

Joe 'Cool' Philpott

...and sure who else could possibly have won the Camogie player of the year but Wanda!
And, in a year of very high quality Ladies football the player of the year was Maura Geoghegan...presented by Wanda 'cos she really wanted to do it!
Men's player of the year John Moran ...who'll be forever remembered for a crossbar in Bahrain...keep 'em low in Liverpool!
After giving away so much Anthony Carey gets something back at last! Sarah presents a going away gift on behalf of the Ladies Football team, while Neil does likewise from the Fianna...
...before Joe Power brings the formal part of the proceedings to an end with Rosc Catha na bhFianna

Party Time...Jacqui, Annie, Maura and Neiti

...soon outdone by Sandra, Maura(again), Karen, Celine, Lorraine and Sarah
