Dubai, March 2000, and an intrepid bunch of 30 and 40 somethings headed off to give all for the honour and glory of the Fianna. With one or two in the late 20's we felt we had a chance in the men's competition...we reckoned without fitness! With one, or was it two, women who had actually kicked a ball before, we knew we had no chance...but the ladies didn't give up without a fight!
