Castlebar in the first week of August saw Galway renew their rivalry with erstwhile conquerors and Connacht champions Roscommon. This proved to be the Ros Waterloo as the Tribesmen came sprinting in the backdoor, catching them well and truly in a somewhat one-sided game.

As the fates would have it a large number of the Fianna faithful descended on McHale park, and the Weaver's Inn, and the Traveller's Friend ...and a few other dens of ill-repute, all in the name of Stag Night.

No more shall be said!

First port of call, a field outside McHale park. Dressed in Abu Dhabi clobber we cut a dashing site...well we thought so!

All those years in the Gulf and Adrian still can't handle his headgear.

Low lie the fields......

Inside the grounds we looked somewhat odd from the back

...and worse from the front...photo taken by some reputed press photographer...we're still waiting for it to appear in the Tuam Herald!!

Here we are starting the half time wave!!

goal

This photo is crap! And was not taken by the guy from the Tuam Herald, but instead by a passing Roscommon supporter...if the players' view of the goal was anything like this guy's vision then it's no wonder that Roscommon couldn't score!

Still, shows the famed Abu Dhabi defence in somewhat hazy action,...come to think of it a few hours later this photo appeared to be in focus.

Back in the Weavers, the Morans kept the glasses from emptying, despite our best efforts...
