Jason’s Quest

By: Jason C. Norway

AN-This story happens before any of the DBAU parts or any of the Telastar parts. I know that there are many spelling and grammatical errors like putting the word witch were it should but which, but I’m to lazy to go and find them so I’m saying sorry for them now.

One day Jason was sitting at his computer working on his latest story. As he typed he heard a voice in his head. It was a thought, urgent but the thought was not his own. (AND NO HES NOT CRAZY!) The though was in the voice of a young man. He said (Or thought), "Help. To anyone who hears me in this realm. Help!"

Jason being a telepath responded. He though, "I hear you. What is it?"

The thought responded, "No time. You must come to me."

Just then a portal opened and Jason was sucked in before he could do anything about it. When he came out he was in another place. A field. There was endless grass, a pond with very clear water, and a very bright shining sun. He marveled at the beauty of the place until a horse with what looked like a knight galloped up to him. When he arrived at Jason position he said, "Please come with me."

The knight extended a hand moving up on his horse beaconing for him to get on. Jason said, "Who are you and what am I doing here."

"You were the one that responded to my master’s mental call. Are you not?" The knight said.

"Yes, I am. Were is your master?" Jason asked remembering the mental call he received.

"I will take you to him. He’s in the tower far off." The knight said.

Jason looked at the tower and tried to shimmer to the location but for some reason he was unable. He soon realized that all his ki had vanished.

"All right." Jason said getting on the horse. Jason figured that this "master" would be able to tell him why his ki was no were to be seen.

The knight’s horse traveled at great speeds. Soon they arrived at the tower witch was much bigger then it looked far off. It strangely had no doors. When they arrived a rope tied the horse to a nearby pole by itself. Also Jason and the knight had begun to float to a now visible balcony at the top of the stone tower. When they got there the landed and walked inside the open door at the balcony. Jason had decided that the things he had seen at the tower like him floating and the rope tying itself was telekinesis. When he arrived at the inside room he saw a man, about 20 years in age. He was wearing a blue robe with sleeves way past his arms. There was a piece of rope tied around his waist like a belt.

"Why can’t I use my ki in this place." Jason asked the man witch he sensed had magic power. Strangely he could still sense power.

"If this ki you talk of is a type of magic that is because the Goblins encased the surface world with a shield of magic that absorbs most types of magic power, including mana. I am one of the few Warlocks that has been un affected because I use Aethereal magic unlike the common mana. " The man replied getting up out of the chair he was sitting in.

"Goblins, what the hell are those?" Jason asked.

"A race of demons that has taken over most of the surface and under worlds." The man said.

"And what’s aethereal magic?" Jason asked.

"A wile ago the great counsel of Wizards, Witches, Warlocks, and Mages began to study into the idea of other magic’s then mana. The result was aethereal magic. A highly destructive and unstable magic. Very few people were willing to risk the study of this magic because if one thing goes wrong then you were destroyed along with the surrounding countryside. But when the Goblins made the magic shield, mana, Life (Ki and Chi), and Elemental magic were rendered useless here. Now only Aethereal and Necromantic magic are useable." The man said then continued, "My name is Lee. I am the fare-most Warlock in the study of aethereal magic. Who might you be?"

"My name is Jason. I am one of the six most powerful ummm…magicians in my world. But here my power is useless except for my telepathic ability." Jason replied.

"Ahh…I see. So then I will have to teach you how to use the magic of Aethereal. I called you here so that you could save the surface, and under worlds from the Goblin demons." Lee said.

"What!? I’m not saving any world. I was taken here agents my will and I wish to go back." Jason said becoming aggravated.

"You have no choice. You are the chosen one. If you were not supposed to save this world then you would not have heard my call." Lee said.

"I don’t care. I wish to go home. Send me back now." Jason said.

"No, even if I could I wouldn’t." Lee said.

"What do you mean, "If I could"." Jason asked.

"I use all the magic I had to bring you here. All I can do is teach the art of aethereal to you. The only way I will teach you is if you promise to help this world. When you have helped, then I will teach you the ability to create the astral portal to bring yourself back." Lee said.

"So I am stuck here if I don’t help you." Jason said.

"Yes." Lee replied.

"Figgers." Jason said.

"So do you except your quest?" Lee asked Jason.

"What choice do I have. Yes." Jason said.

"All right. Then this is your home for now." Lee said.

"Kinda dark don’t ya think?" Jason said.

"Oil for the gas lamps is expensive and I have little money." Lee replied.

"Whatever. Lets get this training started. The sooner I get home the better. So you said that your magic was all used up, is this magic limited?" Jason asked sitting in one of the chairs.

"No, but its drawn from the environment around you. And the beauty you see outside is not real. It’s an illusion. I made it so as I would not be depressed by my surroundings. This is what it really looks like." Lee said.

Jason walked to the window. What he saw was not the pretty landscape as before but it was a dry desolate wasteland. Everything he saw was dead or dieing. The sky was scorched black and filled with clouds that threatened to dump rain at any moment. When Jason turn away from the window the illusion began again.

"How are you doing that without magic?" Jason asked.

"I’m not, that knight that brought you here is. He’s also an Aethereal Warlock but he has reserved more power then I have." Lee replied.

"Ok. So to get aethereal magic you have to draw it from nature and store it inside your body?" Jason asked.

"Yes."

"So then I wont be able to draw magic here. We will have to go some were else." Jason said.

"Correction. You will. The knight, Cain, will transport you to a nature park near Newbridge. Once I have taught you how to store, draw, and transfer Aethereal magic then I can teach you the arts." Lee said.

Chapter One, the First Skill

Jason sat atop a big rock in the middle of the forest that Cain had sent him to. It had been 6 months since Jason first came to the land that Lee said was called Midgard. In that time Jason had learned to draw aethereal energy from the environment and store it in his body. The magic was powerful, stronger the ki at its best (The same as mana vs. ki in Jason’s world). Jason had collected enough aethereal energy to mach his ki level witch was more Aethereal magic then anyone had ever collected by far. Lee would talk to Jason telepathically and so would Cain wile he was drawing energy.] Witch is what he was doing now.

"Ok Jason, Cain is going to bring you back now. Its time to teach you the first skill. Invisibility." Lee said to Jason as the common astral portal opened and Jason walked in. He came out in the field by Lee’s tower.

He was standing in front of Lee who was holding a book. It was brown and the title was in big black letters on the front and it said, "Illusions." Lee gave the boor to Jason and said, "This book, when you finish it will tell you how to make any kind of illusion you want. You can use that ability to make yourself invisible."

The book was thick and heavy. Jason looked at for a moment then sat down and started to read it. The first sentence on the first page read, "Illusions can be created by learning to manipulate light, darkness, and colors around a certain area. The skill dose not require a large amount of aethereal energy and can be a useful tool in and out of battle."

Jason, using the limited amount of ki that was not taken by the magic shield to read the book more quickly then normal. It only took about 13 hours. (Heh, all night cram sessions.)

After reading the book and about 3 day of practice Jason had mastered the ability of illusions. One day Jason was walking through the halls of Lee’s tower when he came across a huge library. It contained what seemed millions of books. After walking threw a few of the halls he found Lee reading a book titled, "The art of Life Energy."

Soon Lee said, "I have been studying this magic you called "ki". It’s very powerful but it’s also hard to use. And it seems to be hard to control. How do you do it?"

"With a lot of training and hard work, but it mostly endurance." Jason replied picking up a book on a nearby table. The title read, "The History of Midgard."

"Hey Lee, can I barrow this." Jason said holding up the book.

"Yes, you may. All the books here you can read if you want. Most of them are books that will teach you more skills for aethereal energy. You can read all of them except this one." Lee said holding up a book titled, "The Art of The Astral Portal."

Seeing the title Jason turned Invisible and tried to get the book but Cain quickly walked in and took the book making it disappear.

"The wonders of the disappear spell. It in my own personal dimension now, and only I or Lee can get it out." Cain said with an evil grin on his face.

"Give it." Jason said.

"Remember the deal?" Cain said.

"GUNDAMMIT!" Jason said.

"Gun-wa?" Cain and Lee said together.

"Nothing." Jason said taking the history book and leaving the tower.

Chapter Two A Detailed History of Midgard

Jason lay down on the thick green grass. Jason knew it wasn’t real but all of his senses were telling him it was to it was ok by him. The fake sunset Cain had created was beautiful. He opened the book and began to read.

"At first the forces of light and darkness were equal. They continued to fight a Great war that was destined to never end, until the creation of the mortal realm. In the mortal realm there are seven powers. Humans, Elves, and Infidels are the forces of the light. Goblins, Buteos, and Sythian are the forces of darkness. The Merfolk are on nether side. The Humans, with their Wizards, and Mages ruled the surface world with their great allies, the Elves and there powerful Archers, and the Infidels and there un-matched horse riders for many millennia. The Goblins ruled the underworld with their Trolls, and the Buteos ruled the cloud world with flyers. The Sythians came into existence when a small part of the Infidels converted to darkness. The Stygian Witches and there Necromantic magic’s are the only reason the Stygian still exist today. And finally the Merfolk rule over the undersea world with all the forces of the deep. Because all but the most power magicians are un-able to even reach the deep depths of the undersea world little is known about the Merfolk and really why they exist.

In the past there have been three great wars in Midgard. The first war, The War of Volsang, was by far deadliest and by far the longest. Volsang was frozen solid in his fortress in the far south of Midgard. Everyone knew that he had been like this for a very long time - inasmuch as his frightful story had been told forever. They knew he had once been very much alive, very terrifying, and at the point of enslaving the world to his will when the brave Dreya

fortuitously discovered the spell that imprisoned him forever.

Over the centuries the terror had faded into complacency and now his name only frightened children at bedtime. What no one realized was that their forefathers' victory hadn't been quite as complete as they believed and that the terror was about to return.

So started the second war of Volsang. In this war Volsang did actually fight. This war was the result of Volsang beginning to free himself from his bonds. With his power of corruption he assumed control of the Goblins, the Merfolk, and the Beutos. Through this the long Human/Elves/and Infidel rule of the surface world ended. The war finally ended when the human Wizard, Sir. James Aldrich found Bifrost, the rainbow bridge that connects Midgard to the land of the gods, Asgard and convincing the head god Odin to destroy Volsang forever.

And finally, the third war, The War of Mages, is still going on in Midgard. With the few pockets of Human, Elvin, and Infidel life falling apart on their surface world the great counsel of Wizard had decided to make one final stand at Oldgrange, the human capital. Though even if Oldgrange were to fall the Elvin capital of Goldleaf, and the Infidel capital of Rot would still be standing but the war would still be over. This is so because at the very heart of Oldgrange is an astral gate to the very heart of Asgrad, the world of the gods. If evil were to gain this portal for there use then hordes of the evil races would poor into the land of heaven and destroy the unsuspecting gods. So the fate of the war between good and evil lays on the out coming of the battle of Oldgrange. The battle has been prophesized to come Loki (June) 2, Third Age.

Jason thought about that for a moment. The current date in Midgard was Frig (April) 3 The Third Age. So this world was on the break of apocalypse. That left Jason with a little less then 2 months to save this world and get himself home. "Man…" Jason thought, "Why do I always seem to come upon words that are almost dead."

Chapter Three, The Battle of Oldgrange

Jason sat atop a horse. The horse was encased in battle armor and so was he. The date was Loki 1, Third Age. The next day would be the battle of Oldgrange. Over the past few weeks Jason had mastered the art of aethereal magic by learning the skills of Illusions, Alchemy, Elemental Controlling, Beast Summoning, Sonic Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, and Shape Shifting. There were a few other skills that he had learned and a bunch of other that he would learn. Lee said that if I save the battle of Oldgrange and destroyed the magic shield somewhere in the core of the Goblin capital of Grympen Mire that he would teach him the skill of the astral portal. Jason would be able to shimmer back to his realm on his own once the magic shield was gone but he had become fond of this new magic and decided that he would learn as much skills as he could for it.

Anyways next to Jason Cain sat on his own horse in his own armor. The 2 of them were going to fight it the battle that was to come.

"All right. I have trained you well. All I can do now is wish you luck and give you this." Lee said reaching into a bag at his side. He pulled out a sword. It was about 4 feet long. It was a single blade.

"This is the blade called Dragon Blade. Sir James Allrich used it. He used it to slay Dragons that guarded Bitfrost in the second war agents Volsang. It has a power that no one else had been able to unlock since. With or without it’s hidden power it’s still a great sword. I hope it might aid you." Lee said handing Jason the blade.

Jason took the blade and tested it balance. Either way it was a nice sword. Jason put it in a sheath at his side.

"All right Jason lets go." Cain said.

Moments later Cain opened an astral portal witch they both rode through it. They emerged in the main rode of Oldgrange. The peasants walking by were surprised and after a few moments the streets cleared.

"Welcome to Oldgrange Jason." Cain said motioning his horse to move forward. Jason gave his horse the same orders. After a few moments of riding they came upon a huge castle. It had an outer wall surrounding it, an outer courtyard, and another wall to protect the main keep. There were guard towers all over the place and knight seemed to line the perimeter on the top of each wall.

"The king has been expecting us. Lets go." Cain said.

Jason and Cain walked forward. They had no problems getting through to the king because the guards knew who they were. As Jason entered the main keep he saw a long red carpet lined with knights standing like statues. Jason and Cain got off their horse before entering the keep. As they off Jason took off the metal helm and held it in his hands. Unlike most of the people at the time his brown hair was parted down the middle. The women, he had found in this time liked the new an unusual hairstyle. Another thing that Jason had that wasn’t back in that time much was green eyes. Almost everyone he had seen in Midgard had brown eyes. Some of the knights starred at him straggly. He learned later that most of them had never seen a boy of his age in armor.

When Jason and Cain got to the king sitting atop his throne they kneeled. The king looked about 5.7 and had brown eyes and long black hair. He wore shinning armor and a crown of sparkling gems and gold. After a few moments the king told them to rise.

He said, "So this is all Lee has to offer me. A half knight and a child. He promised me magic, not laughter." The king said laughing.

At that moment Jason changed into a Siberian White Tiger and jumped into the kings lap. The King screamed in fright until the Tiger got off and turned back into Jason.

"Is that what your looking for Sir." Jason said.

"I see. Is that all you can do?" The King asked.

"No, your majesty. I can do many more things." Jason said.

The king looked at him for a few moments as to ponder what the boy was saying and after a few moments turned to Cain and said, "Be sure to teach with boy respect for his king. Otherwise, he will be staying in the dungeon." Then the king turned to one of the knight at his side and told him to take them to their rooms. A knight took them to a stairwell and took them up it. Jason, manipulating the gravity around him flouted up the stairs. Cain did likewise to himself and the knight next to him. Then they walked down a hall to two doors one in which Cain entered and another in witch Jason did. Two ours later Jason and Cain were talking about what’s going to happen. Cain said that the King did not know that evil will strike at Oldgrange tomorrow. He thinks were here to aid him in attacking Empty Caverns, a nearby Goblin City. Play along. Tomorrow when we are about to set out to attack Empty Caverns is when evil will strike. That is the way it supposed to happen.

An hour later Cain and Jason were summoned to the dinning room for dinner then afterward the King, the high Counsel, and Cain and Jason would plan the attack on Empty Caverns.

"My armies will strike from the west entrance." The king said at the planing, "The Eleven armies from Gold Leaf will attack from the north and the Infidel army from Rot will attack from the east. Jason, Cain, and a small group of top mages will attack from the south. If we win this battle then we will be able to take the temporal portal from Empty Caverns to give a sneak attack on Grympen Mire itself." The King continued.

Jason though that this was a good plan and he would use if to destroy the magic shield generator when he would have to.

-Meanwhile in Jason’s world-

"Jason! Let me in!" Kobra screamed banging on the door. After a wile she got aggravated and blinked inside Jason’s house. Jason was no were to be found, and she needed him to fix her clocking devise because most people though she was a monster so she used a clock to make herself look human in public. But it was broken in a training accident and Jason was the only one who had the technical know-how to fix it because he had built it for her.

"Shit. I can never find him when I need his help." Kobra said plopping down on the couch to wait for him.

-Jason’s Time and Place-

Jason didn’t know if this was right. What if the prophecies were wrong? Jason was needless to say frightened. He had heard stories of how the Goblin had tortured you till you died then capture your soul and tortures that of eternity. If he had full access to his powers he would not have been frightened, but all he had was this strange kind of magic that he was still learning to use. Either was Jason would fight.

The next day, Jason and Cain stood in front of a small army of top knock aethereal mages. The king was going to make a proclamation to the fleet of horses and soldiers. When he was in front of the army he open his voice out loud and said, "Today. My friends today we will strike Empty Caverns. You all know that many lives will not leave this attack alive. So be reminded. WE WIIL NOT DIE! WE WILL STRIKE FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF THOSE EVIL GOBLINS!" The King started. (For all whom wish to know "Beep Blue Sea" flashback.)

"AND THEN WE WILL STRIKE THE VERY HEART OF THE GO…" He tried to finish but just then a bolt of lightning came crashing down on the king killing him.

The skies turned crimson red as to mock the battle the followed. Just then Goblins ran atop the walls that surrounded Oldgrange with Crossbows. Someone ordered the open gate to the city closed but a Goblin on horseback stooped it. Within moments the main square was filled with a Goblin army. Then, what looked like the Goblin Commander rode in on a decorated battle horse. He trotted up to the king’s son, the Prince. Now that the king was dead the Prince was no longer a Price but a king.

"You see. I have killed your king and captured your city. I say now to the Prince." The Goblin commander said throwing the Kings sword at the price that caught it. Then he continued, "Now that you hold the sword and your are king, I want you to kneel before me and say that your army surrenders. Or is such a menial task below you. Well be reminded that if you don’t I will burn this city down and kill all it inhabitance."

The Price was in his mid 30s. He was a brave and skilled fighter. The Prince walked forward and stuck the sword into the ground by it’s point but kept his hands a round it. He said, "What I do now. Is for the people and the city. I wish that they forgive me for my actions. Now this is my last act as your king. I command you to…"

The prince lowered, making it look as if he were about to kneel when he pulled the sword out of the ground and swung it around his head and said, " I command you to FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!"

The battle was chaotic. Goblin fighters clashed Axe with the sword of the human knights. Human aethereal mages took to the skies hurling lightning bolts down at the Goblins. Arrows flew across the city as the peasants began to use themselves as human torpedoes.

Jason battled with the other force, with all the savagery and might that was his heritage. Then he jumped into the air and sent down four lightning bolts.

The sun was setting in the blood red sky. Jason began to drain what light was still coming from the sun as to gain more energy for the most powerful of the aethereal attacks, the Fireball.

With an explosive power that rivaled that of an atomic explosion the fireball would decimate the Goblin armies outside the city. He only hoped that the cities fireball shield was on.

"JASON! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Cain screamed from the ground.

Jason didn’t answer, if he could he would but he was unable. All of his useable energy was going into the Fireball.

"FIREBALL!!!" Jason screamed throwing the Fireball outside the city’s walls.

The last thing Jason saw as he was falling from the sky was the Fireball hitting the ground outside the city walls. Then he blacked out. He didn’t see Cain open and Astral Portal under him and throw a book into it. Jason fell through the portal as the city of Oldgrange was engulfed in flames.

Chapter 4 The Second Try

He awoke in his bed with the rest of the RFCers in the room. Deadeye was over in the living room playing Super Smash Bros. Melee on his GCN.

Jason sat up quickly, hitting his head on Kobra’s witch was leaning over him taking his temperature.

"Ouch…" Jason said rubbing his head.

"Jason, where were you?" Dragonett asked.

"Who? What? When?" Jason said looking around realizing he was in his house.

"And what’s this?" Deadeye said walking in with a heavy book in his hands.

Jason looked at the book, the title read, "The Art of The Astral and Temporal Portal."

Jason gasped, remembering the even back in Midgard. Jason got up and took the book from Deadeye’s hands. As he opened it a piece of paper fell to the floor. Jason picked it up, and it read, "Dear Jason. If you are reading this then you must have made it back to your world safely. The Fireball spell you caste had destroyed the city. I threw you and this book into the portal so you could learn the spell and come back through time to save us. That’s one of the huge benefits of the Astral Portal, you can use it to time travel. You are out last hope, travel back in Time and destroy the Goblin capital of Grympen Mire. With the magic shield gone we will be able to fight the rest of the war ourselves. Please Jason, for the love of Odin, help!"

Jason dropped the note and using his ki he super-speed read the book. After testing it a few times he mastered the aethereal spell.

"Say WHAT?" Kobra said when Jason had told them the entire story. He had left the part out about the aethereal magic for later surprise.

After a few more moments Jason took off through an astral portal. Jason came out at the battle of Oldgrange. He was just about to throw the Fireball when, he regained control of his body. Recalling the energy back to hid body he drew the sword Dragon Blade and flew to the ground and began to cut away at goblin troops.

Lightning flew across the city. Some of the bolts missing and hitting buildings making them fall apart. Goblin Trebuchets fired at the walls, and Human Aethereal Wizards unleashed their wrath on the goblins.

Just as it seemed that the Humans would win the battle a large group of astral portal opened outside of the city and to the west. The Sythians had come. What looked as about 70 Sythian Witched flew in on brooms unleashing Necromantic blast on the Paladin and Knights.

The battle drew on for what seemed like days even though it was only a few hours. Jason had taken to turning wood and stone from destroyed housed and buildings into AK-47s. These weapons proved effective verses the goblin Berserkers that had no knowledge of magic but were useless verses the Sythian Witches. He would turn stones into grenades and throw them at the oncoming Goblins and Sythians. But yet that did no good. Slowly they were fought back to the heart of Oldgrange, and the astral gate to Asgard. About 3 Paladins, 2 aethereal Warlocks, and Jason and Cain, that was all that was left to defend Asgard. Cain was hurt, bleeding badly.

"Its ok Cain, we will be ok." Jason said trying to calm Cain masking his own true fear.

"How so?" Cain said, choking on some blood. "This is the end, quickly, get out of here to your own world, if we cant save many lives we must at least save yours."

Jason’s body was screaming in pain. He had been cut in many places and was also bleeding, but he could still fight.

"Now, why would I do that? I know I wasn’t really into this when I started but now, I’m going to see this through till the end." Jason said forcing himself to smile.

"Attention to the remaining Humans. I have you surrounded. Come out with your hands up and we may just let you see another moonrise." Come from outside the tower the portal was inside.

If only I had use of my ki! Jason thought.

"So this in the end." One of the Warlocks said. He was an Elf. He was about 4.2, tall for an Elf. He was holding an Elvin war staff.

"Wait, what if I summoned an army?" The other Warlock said. A Human in his oh I say about 30s.

"Even if you had more magic then Odin you wouldn’t have enough energy to summon enough beasts to fight this army. I sense many." Cain snapped.

He was a

"Hold that thought…" Jason said.

"What are you thinking about Jason?" The Elf said.

"More energy then Odin…" He continued formulating the plan inside his head.

"Well come on, tell us already, for the love of Odin!" Cain said.

Jason thought, what about going SSJ with aethereal energy. He had never tried it because if he slipped up even just a little then that was it.

"I have an idea, but if I mess up even just a little we are fucked, should I try it?" Jason said.

"What is it?" The Human asked.

"I can’t say, I don’t know the words to explain it to you." Jason said.

"And if you succeed?" Cain said.

"Then, I will be in fact stronger then Odin." Jason said.

The looks of the three grew hard, but then the Elf went, "What the heck, lets give it a shot, what do we have left to lose?"

"Then here I go." Jason said.

He began to concentrate his energy. He felt the change coming. The power he was trying to evoke was fantastic. But then he felt himself begging to slip. He knew then that it was time, if he didn’t let go and let it happen then that was it, so he did.

It was amazing. The energy surging through his body was greater then even SSJ2, and this was only SSJ. Goes to show how powerful aethereal is.

-Cain’s view of Jason after transforming-

The boy’s power was tremendous. His hair, eyes and eyebrows had someone turned shiny silver. His muscles bulged. His power just kept rising. His hair was still parted down the sides and hung freely. He was indeed stronger then anything he ever saw. He had see pictures of the Super Sayin in Jason’s mind, but he ever even began to ponder this. Jason’s emotions, he sensed, were focused only to the battle. There was nothing he could think of that could stop him now. "Alright Jason. Let see what you can do."

Jason smiled. He took that comment as a challenge.

-Back To Jason’s view-

There was no more calls from the outside. The Goblins must have sensed the power Jason was putting out. But then finally The Goblin Commander called into the tower and said, "COME OUT RIGHT NOW!!!"

"Well Cain, I must not keep them waiting." Jason said kicking open the door and walking out.

-Goblin Commander-

What could he be? He had such great power but he was only a, human. Lightning was dancing around his body. What’s this, thought the Goblin as a silver aura appeared around the boys body. ‘His power is rising! How is that possible!’

-Jason-

"Hello boys. Are you ready for the shock of your life?" Jason said as he sent a huge amount of electricity into the ground. It killed almost all of the Goblin and Sythian army.

Without a word, he opened a temporal portal to the outskirts of Grympen Mire. He manipulated the gravity around himself and lifted himself directly over the city. Just as he was about to send a fireball down to the city he was hit on the back, hard. This made him fall a few feet before he stopped.

He looked behind him to see what had hit him. A huge Goblin was floating behind him. Jason sensed a huge power, one that would even be a problem for him to destroy.

"Ahh, Jason. Nice to finally meet you. I have heard stories about your power." The Goblin said.

Jason only smirked. Then he said, "And who might you me?"

"I have no name other then "Death" That’s all you will need to know." The Goblin said, now also smirking.

There were no more words. Jason took out the Dragon Blade given to him by Lee and began to fight agents the goblin. The Goblin had a huge battle axe.

Jason flew forward and slashed at Death but, Death moved out of the way and came crashing down with the battle axe. If Jason hadn’t gotten his blade in the way it would have cut him in two. Jason flew back and threw 3 small lightning bolts at Death, all of witch he deflected.

Death threw two pure balls of black light at Jason. He deflected 1 but the other hit him in the back. The balls had enough power to throw him to the ground.

Jason forced his body to stand up. He was in great pain. He began to search for Death with his senses but found nothing. Until it was to late. As if out of no were the Axe came down on his back. Luckily he got out of the way, for the most part. The axe had still torn deep within his skin. He began to bleed very badly. He fell to the ground as his vision blurred and he passes out.

Chapter 5, The Return of Dreya

Dreya sat in a large hollowed section of a great Oak tree, her home for centuries now. No one knew about her, she lived in peace in her great oak home up in the trees of the lost city of Oak Citadel.

Something had been bothering Dreya lately, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Well finally that felling has driven her out of her house.

She was just about to enter the lost city’s temporal portal when she had sensed it. Two huge powers and then one had left just as quickly as it had came. Her instincts told her to go to the source of the power and she did.

Dreya stepped out of the blue light from the portal to see a huge Goblin standing over a human. She sensed that the human was not dead, but dying. The Goblin had seen her and began to attack.

Dreya did what she could to dodge the swings from its axe. Unfortunately, her power had greatly diminished since her battle with Volsang, so that was all she could do, dodges.

Dreya knew that she couldn’t keep this up for long. If she couldn’t strike and soon, she would be dead. Just then she got an idea. She began of focus her power into the creation of a stopper crystal. If it worked the crystal would hold this Goblin in place for a wile, just long enough for her to tend to the human.

When she was finished, she threw the crystal at him and it froze him in a blue light, but she could tell it would not hold him for long. She ran over to the human, and began to heal him with a healing spell that no one had used in a long time, ages. Quickly, the boy healed and stood up. He looked at her, and his expression came to surprise and he said, "Dreya?"

Jason had seen Dreya in many of the book he used to learn things for aethereal. She was an Elf, a really old one. She had light teal eyes and long goldish hair. He was about 3.5 feet tall and she was wearing a yellow tunic.

"Yes my child. I am Dreya, now quickly we must get away before the Goblin is set free." Dreya said taking his had, but he wouldn’t come.

"I have to take care of him, then destroy this city." Jason said go SAS. (Super Aethereal Sayin.)

His hair kept in place but turned silver as well did his eyes and eyebrows. Jason began to charge a ball of light with a large proton of his aethereal power. It was then that Death broke free of his bonds. The blast hit had of his body blowing it up. But Death was still alive. He had in fact only lost an arm. (Only?!)

"Dreya, I am surprised to find that you are still alive. And as for you Jason, you will pay for that."

Dreya began to concentrate her power, what was left of it that is. Jason flew forward, Dragon blade drawn and ready to fight. The sword fell into battle with Deaths batter axe. Clang Clang Clang was heard as the metals of the 2 weapons smacked into each other.

‘I can’t hold him off for long.’ Jason thought franticly.

Clang, Clang, Clang.

‘His power just keeps rising. Soon he will be to far beyond me to fight.’

Clang, Clang, Clang.

‘That’s it. I wont be able to win. I guess it time to make my peace with god.’

Clang, Clang, Clang.

‘…Forever and on. Amen.’

That’s when Jason was struck with the end of the battle-axe, sending him flying to the ground. Jason was dieing and that was all there was to it. Death descended upon the ground and raised the axe above his head and said, "Goodbye Jason. You were quite the fight."

Death brought the axe down upon Jason, and just as it was about to hit him there was an explosion. As the light from the explosion subsided Jason felt something very strange. He was no loner in any pain, or in SAS mode. He opened his eyes and saw that he was in a sea of white light similar to the hyperbolic time chamber.

Standing in front of him was a man, a Sayin. His hair was a bright gold he was a Super Sayin. Jason didn’t know who the Sayin was, but he felt a strange feeling of familiarity to him. He even looked like him a bit. The Sayin was no older then 20 and was wearing baggy blue jeans and a black muscle shirt. Strapped to his back were 2 shorters and on his arms were black gauntlets. On his left index finger was a silver ring and in his right ear was a silver earring.

"Who are you?" Jason asked the man, question in his voice.

"In a way…" The man began, and then continued, "I’m you. Or part of you at least."

"What? Your not me." Jason said confused.

"Your right, I’m not. Not completely. I am only half you." The man said.

"But…" Jason started but was cut off. The man opened his mouth and said, "I’m sorry but I don’t have time to talk right now. You will come to know me later. Right now I am here to lend you some of my power."

The man started to power up. His power was unreal. It was like that of a god. It just didn’t end. It was far greater then Cell’s or any of the Buus, or even greater then all of the RFCers combined. It was so huge that Jason could even begin to think of the words to describe it.

Soon Jason felt the power beginning to flow through his own body. He felt his full power returning to him. He couldn’t quite place the energy though. It was some sort of combination between Mana, Ki, and Aethereal, but it was a whole new energy on it own.

That when the image of the man blurred and a moment later Jason was back in Midgard. He had just enough time to get out of the way of deaths battle-axe as it came crashing down near his neck like a guillotine. He didn’t know what exactly he was doing when he raised his hand and screamed something that he couldn’t understand. A beam a light flew out of his hand and hit death head on. When the light cleared Death was gone. Jason couldn’t sense his power anywhere. He must be dead. Then again he lifted off into the air without being able to control himself. He lifted himself far above the city and when in the right spot, again shouted something he didn’t understand. Once again the bean of light came back and flew down blowing up Grympen Mire. Jason landed without knowing it as his new power began to fade. When it was gone all he was left with was his ki, and aethereal energy. His wounds had healed and he was back to normal.

He looked for Dreya but couldn’t find her. That’s when he opened an astral portal and went back home. He decided that he would keep his new aethereal power secret for now. Upon arriving home he went back to his laptop and continued writing his story like he was only 3 hours before in his time, knowing that he had saved the day.
