Episode 5: Wandering Warriors
(Some town in the mountains, Kert is walking down the street, looks up at a sign and walks into an inn and goes to the desk)
Clerk: Can I help you?
Kert: I’d like to rent a room please
Clerk: How many nights are you gonna be staying?
Kert: I don’t know, but I have enough
Clerk: Ok then, room 134, upstairs (Hands him the keys)
(Kert walks up the stairs and unlocks his room and falls down on the bed and looks up at the ceiling)
Kert: It’s only a matter of time now, he’ll come, our last battle wasn’t decisive or long enough to establish superiority, he wants to finish this once and for all, and I’ll be waiting……
(Back in space, in colony L3)
Plague: (Looking at DSX being refitted with gundanium armor) How much longer will this take Andrson?
Anderson: Only about a day Plague, but I’m not giving it back till I get my payment.
Plague: I suppose that will be short enough, but it better be done by morning…or else…
Anderson: Yes, okay men speed up!
Plague: I’ll be waiting (Walks out)
(Drakes’s repair facility, many leos are being upgraded)
Drake: How many Leos are left to be fitted?
David: Only 8 more sir, what do you plan to do with them anyway?
Drake: We’re gonna go find Kert
David: What? Why find the kid?!
Drake: I never did tell you why he had the gundam did I?
David: I’d sure as hell like to know
Drake: Well, he said he’s the result of some 7 year project called the Savior project funded by the United Earth Sphere Alliance. Project Savior’s purpose was to create a warrior that could effectively counter this plague guy.
David: How did they know he was gonna hit 7 years in advance?
Drake: They knew 10 years in advance, when he sent them a message and destroyed the Resource satellite MO-V.
David:……so the fate of the world as we know it is pretty much in his hands…(pauses)…Ok then, lets get to work!
(Colony L3, Repair place, a shuttle is ready as plague walks in)
Anderson: Plague, I think you’ll be pleased to see that Death Scythe X has been completely refitted with gundanium.
Plague: So that’s what they named it, Death Scythe X. Very good, what’s the shuttle here for?
Anderson: It’s my ride out of here, the gundam is over there, but if you get within 10 feet of it before paying my men shoot you.
Plague: You know, you’re really picky over when you get payed
Anderson: It’s the only way to assure I get payed for my services at all, now pay up!
Plague: Here (hands anderson a brief case)
Anderson: I’m glad we could so bussiness, (Tries to open it, but it won’t, tries repeatedly but it still won’t) What the hell did you do to it?!
Plague: (laughs) Look at the number pad at the top, you have to enter a code to open it, and I’m not gonna give you the code till I get my gundam.
Anderson: Curse you!…………Give him the gundam…….
Plague: I’m glad you came to your senses, I’ll be going now, I suggest you do the same. (Walks over and gets into DSX)
Anderson: Right…goodluck, and when do I get the code!!!
Plague: I’ll download it to your shuttle (DSX blows a hole in the colony and flies out, many people are sucked into space, anderson gets in his shuttle)
Anderson: hmm, maybe we should’ve repaired it in a more barren area, did we get the code yet?
Pilot: Yes sir
(Anderson walks into the cockpit and looks at the screen starts putting in numbers on the number pad, opens it and looks horrified)
Anderson: WHAT THE??!!
(The shuttle explodes)
Plague: (Looking back and smirking) can’t have any witnesses, besides, I couldn’t have you coming after me when I didn’t even have the money (looks to earth) Now I’ll get you kid, then chaos will reign down on earth (Laughs evilly as DSX boosts to Earth)
(Back in the Inn, Kert is looking out th window. He’s been there or about a day.)
Kert: I can’t stay here any longer, I’ll endanger these people.
(Kert walks out of his room, checks out and walks into the forest a long way from town. Heavy Zero flies out of it and to a nearby mountain.)
(In the plains near the town, a bunch of camo colored Leo’s walk along.)
Drake: Any sign of him yet?
David: Nope, but we know he came this way.
Drake: Right, split into four groups, search for him and we’ll rendevous in the forest near that village.
David: Yes sir!
(The Leo’s split into four groups and go their separate ways.)
David: Tell me again why we’re gonna help him.
Drake: Cus he can’t beat Plague alone, it’ll be a pointless battle because neither side will win! They’ll either both be alive at the end or both dead, and besides that we need to show Plague that even though the world is taking up armaments once again it is united and peace will resume once he is destroyed.
David: Basically that he is the only one with his beliefs?
Drake: Exactly, and I kinda like that kid. He’s got a pure spirit despite his aggressive nature, you can’t miss it.
Pilot: Drake, sir! I found something!
(Drake tells the rest of his unit to go on while he walks over to the pilot who found something.)
Pilot: Look sir, these footprints could only be made by a mobile suit, and judging by their size these are not from any standard mobile suits.
Drake: Good, all units rendevous at my position, we’ll follow the foot prints and hopefully find him.
(Various "Roger sir." "Yes sir".)
(We see the Leo’s from a cockpit view, it’s plague.)
Plague: That’s right, lead me to him so I can destroy him!
(On the mountain top, Kert warms himself by a fire and looks into the valley, it’s getting dark and cold.)
Kert: He’s near…
(Back in town, Drake is at a bar looking for info from the bartender.)
Drake: We’ve been looking for a guy named Kert, have you seen ‘im?
Bartender: Don’t think I have, but I heard something from the Innkeeper that there was a guy who didn’t use the room he bought for one full day.
Drake: Thanks, that’ll do.
(Drake gets up to leave, a man dressed in black gets up from his drink and follows behind stealthfully. Drake goes into the Inn.)
Innkeeper: How can I help you?
Drake: Can I have a look at your guest list?
Innkeeper: Certainly
(The Innkeeper hands the guest book to Drake and he flips through it. See Kert’s name.)
Drake: Here, did you see anything you could call odd after this person left?
Innkeeper: Weeeell, there was a big sound and a light headed towards that mountain over there about 10 minutes after he left.
Drake: Thank you.
(Drake walks out and goes into the woods, the MIB walks off in another direction and leans up against a big black metal leg, it’s Death Scythe X.)
Plague: So the kid’s in the mountains, he’s smarter than I thought, keeping me away from the civilians like that. I’ll get him tomorrow, when we are both at our best rather than this tired state. If I want to establish my superiority and implant in their brains that I cannot be stopped I will have to beat him on equal grounds.(Looks up at DSX) Death Scythe X, I like that name. Originally I wasn’t going to give you a name, but then they labeled you like they did me, so know that all the people in the world cower at that name I might as well use it.
(Plague Gets back into DSX and activates the cloak then falls asleep in the cockpit.)
(Back with Drake’s men and their Leo’s)
Drake: It’s lights out! Get in your mobile suits and get to sleep, we’ll have to find him the morning, it’s too dark to do anything more tonight.
(Everyone gets in their mobile suits and lock up. Drake closes the hatch on his MS.)
Drake: We’re coming Kert…we’re coming… (Closes his eyes.)
(Back on the mountain top, Kert is sitting against the foot of his gundam asleep. End symbols.)
