Episode 6: The Bloody Reunion
(In the woods west of the village, the gundanium armored Leo’s are heading towards the mountain Kert is hiding out in.)
Drake: Can’t we go any faster dammit?
David: Sorry sir but your departure time from the base didn’t give us time enough to put flight jets in these Leo’s.
Drake: How ironic, well keep going, we need to get to him.
(One of the Leo’s is hit in the back by a beam weapon, the gundanium protects it but it is still damaged and falls.)
Drake: What the hell was that?!
Pilot: Sir, there’s a blip about the size of an ant on my radar, it’s moving towards you!
(Suddenly, DSX appears in Drake’s cockpit view.)
Plague: YOU DIE!!!
(DSX takes a swipe at Drake’s Leo, but Drake blocks with the shield.)
Drake: So you’re the one who’s been causing all this destruction! All units engage!
Plague: I don’t care, have them attack me, anyone who helps a person trying to defy human nature does not reserve the right to exist!
(Plague turns around and lodges a scythe in one of the Leo’s, which pulls it out.)
Plague: What?! What the hell is going on here?! I should be able to kill you in one swipe!
Drake: You don’t honestly think Kert wouldn’t buy some extra gundanium do you?
Plague: So, this battle will be a bit more challenging, seeing as I am battling suits made of gundanium, but my superior skills will destroy you all regardless!
(Plague get’s hit in the back with the scythe from the Leo, he turns around and is about to cloak when Drake tackles it and shoots out the light on it’s chest, the cloaking device.)
Plague: What?! No!! How dare you!
(DSX reaches out and grabs the head of Drake’s Leo and promptly rips it off. Then throws the mobile suit into the woods. Drake slowly rights himself in the cockpit, shaken but still in action.)
Drake: KILL HIM!!!
(All the Leo’s start firing at DSX with machine cannons, about half with dober guns. DSX is getting hit pretty hard.)
Plague: I have no time for this!!!
(DSX cuts the arm off the Leo who got one of the scythes, grabs the scythe and jets off.)
Plague(Gets out and looks over to the DSX getting farther away.): COME BACK AND FIGHT YOU COWARD!!!
(On the mountaintop, Heavy Zero stands in waiting with Kert in the cockpit.)
Kert: I appreciate them helping me, but to do so would be a mistake, it is me he’s after, therefore no one should have to be killed in this battle except either him or me.
(DSX is getting closer…)
Kert: but then again, havng allies would show him that the world is becoming armed again just so they can destroy him, and after they do, peace will return. I’m sure they had that in mind when they came up here.
(DSX lands right in front of HZ.)
Plague: So we meet again…I hope you are ready to die.
Kert: I see my allies roughed you up a bit.
Plague: Yes, they did a matter of fact, you were clever to leave them some gundanium, however you were foolish to drag them into this.
Kert: no matter what you want to believe Plague, they came at their own will, that’s what happens to a country in war, it’s soldiers are dedicated to defending their country, and therefore the country becomes even more unified. In this case it is not a country we are talking about, it is this planet as a whole, and they are against you.
Plague: I don’t care, right now all I am planning on doing is killing you, then I shall worry about this world which is patheticly resisting.
(HZ starts to spin it’s gatlings, DSX flares up one of it’s scythes.)
Kert: So it starts…
(DSX boosts at HZ with it’s scythe in the air ready to slice, HZ boosts backwards and fires shots from it’s beam gatlings. DSX gains and swings, but HZ jets straight up and fires off a few missiles down. DSX jets back out of the blast radius and fires off it’s beam cannons on the shoulders, HZ blocks with it’s shield and fires off a bunch of missiles from it’s leg compartments. DSX boosts out of the way but the missiles change course and follow him, he dodges through the rock formations while HZ tries to hit with it’s beam gatlings.)
Plague: Damn, they’re guided again.
(DSX shoots a shot from it’s drill cannons [below the beam cannons on the shoulders] and forces HZ to dodge behind a rock, DSX turns around and fires it’s head vulcans at the missiles, a bullet hits one causing it to explode, the blast catches the rest so they all explode. HZ comes out from behind the rock and reaches for the buster rifle, DSX charges HZ and takes a swing with it’s scythe, HZ steps back narrowly avoiding the beam [some paint on the head peeled off!] it fires it’s buster rifle but DSX ducks and then knocks the rifle out of it’s hands and down the mountain. HZ quickly raises it’s gatling arm and fires a barrage, DSX get’s hit hard and reels back then fires on of it’s buster shields at point blank, HZ jetted backwards when it raised it’s arm, when HZ is about to be pinned against a cliff sheer, it reaches for it’s shoulder, pulls out a beam saber, jets forward and cuts the shield in half, the two halves explode.)
Plague: What?! Those weren’t there before!
Kert: I took the liberty of adding a few things.
(HZ fires off the last of the missiles in it’s leg compartments, but DSX destroys them again, HZ comes through the smoke and cuts off the arm of DSX with the beam saber, DSx reels back and falls, HZ is above it in a flash and about to stab the chest [kill the pilot] when DSX suddenly grabs the scythe it dropped and lodges it in HZ’s leg, it kneels then jets up again, dodging a shot from the drill cannon. HZ takes the scythe out of it’s leg and throws it at DSX which blocks with it’s last buster shield, the scythe becomes lodged in the shield, the shield starts to spark.)
Plague: Oh no! It hit the payload!
(DSX fires the buster shield, it explodes in between the two suits and sends them both flying to the ground and destroys the scythe. DSX gets up when the smoke clears Hz is already up and pointing the beam gatlings at DSX, when they fire the tick tick tick which signifies they are out of ammo is heard.)
Plague: There goes his main weapon!
Kert: No more bullets, no more missiles.
(The gatlings drop off the shield, and a HUGE beam comes out of the shield.)
Plague: So you wanna play close? I’m game.
(DSx grabs the last scythe off it’s back and they both charge each other, both beams hit each other and deflect the attacks. They continue fighting, blocking each other’s swings and doding through the rock formations when HZ cuts into one of the legs of DSX then punches it to the ground. DSX tries to get up but can’t so it jets into the air only to be grabbed by HZ, DSX rips the shield off and the huge beam saber with it. The lodges it’s scythe in the damaged leg again and it cuts through the leg completely, DSx jets out of HZ’s grip and turns around and cuts through both shoulder destroying the planet defensors then slams HZ to the ground and cuts off the arm with the missile launcher on it. Then jets away as HZ struggles to right itself but to no avail.)
Plague(Breathing heavily and bleeding from a cut on his forehead and arm.): You don’t have any weapons left, I’ve won…
(DSX walks over and brings it’s scythe into the air ready to deal the final blow when a beam from seemingly thin air hits DSX dead on and sends it careening into a rock formation. DSX shakily sits up and sees the Leo’s standing behind HZ holding the buster rifle that went down the mountain side earlier. A couple walk in front of HZ and start firing their machine cannons at DSx which starts to get riddled with the bullets which by themselves don’t do much, David’s Leo walks over to HZ with Drake on the shoulder.)
David: Hey kid, you okay?
(silence.)
Drake: Kert?!
(The cockpit of HZ opens up and Kert gets out gripping his arm which was badly cut. Drake hops off the leo and onto HZ .)
Kert: sorry to worry you, he got my communications system.
(Suddenly, two Leo’s up front are sliced in half by DSX which then runs at HZ. Another shot from the buster rifle, DSX dodges and Kert jumps back in the cockpit and manages to make HZ sit up, right as DSX lunges with the scythe HZ pulls out another beam saber from the left shoulder and fends off the attack, then lodges it in the head of DSX destroying one of the camera eyes. DSX jets up, the Leo’s fire and hit but don’t do anything as it speeds off into the distance.)
Plague: I will not die until I’ve killed you!!!
(Back in Drake repair facility, Kert sits in a chair overlooking HZ’s repair with bandages on his arm and one on his head. Drake sits by him typing on the consoel and yelling out orders to the workers. He turns to Kert who is silent.)
Drake: The damage to Heavy Zero was pretty severe, we managed to repair the leg to an extent where it could be reattached with good security, the buster rifle is in perfect condition save a small slash on one of the barrels which decreased the output, that’s why Plague didn’t get killed in one shot. Basically the repairs should do the trick and will be done in about three days if I have a crew working on it 24 hours.
Kert: do that, I’ve got to follow him.
Drake: Don’t bother, he’ll get his gundam repaired and come after you again.
Kert: No.
Drake: What? Why?
Kert: Because he’s lost twice already, the second fight should’ve been his win but now he knows I have you and your men on my side so he’s not gonna try it again.
Drake: So what’s he gonna do?
Kert:……………something drastic……
