GHOSTS REVIVED

Time passed, and Gokou continued to train, albeit not in the Environment Digitizer. Eventually, Pei recovered from her illness. This relieved Son Gokou, and he decided that he was going to practice more with using the Shunkanidou. He was informed that not only could he focus on the ki of anyone in the Universe, but also on those in Heaven and Hell. He started to think of whom he would like to go see. He eventually came to a decision.
He felt a familiar ki, quite a distance away from both Earth and Yardrat-Sei. He soon realized that it was his rival, Vegeta, the Prince of the Saiyajin.
"I’ll pay Vegeta a quick visit," said Son Gokou, as he transformed into a Super Saiyajin. "Still trying to reach the level of Super Saiyajin, Vegeta? Maybe you have to be reminded what a Super Saiyajin looks like…"
Son Gokou disappeared from Yardrat-Sei, and soon found himself on a remote asteroid, drifting through space. There, above him, he could see a white and blue flame. "I knew you would be training Vegeta…What do you say I give you a little assistance?"
Son Gokou’s hand moved outward, and he began to focus on the enormous asteroid he was on. A prodigious chunk of it broke off from the surface. Gokou turned to see the blue, burning ki again. "Let’s see what you’ve got, Vegeta…" The asteroid chunk suddenly flew towards the blue energy. Soon, the rock broke into several pieces, each one flying in different directions.
Son Gokou began to energize his ki, creating a golden pyre around his body. "Keep training, Vegeta…"
Gokou returned to Yardrat-Sei. Pei greeted him. "How was the Prince?" she inquired.
Gokou smirked and reverted to his normal form. "Better than ever…" he said.
It soon came to Son Gokou that he remembered that the Environment Digitizer could transport him to a digital embodiment of any place he could think of. He remembered that Freeza was, for some reason, becoming stronger. He decided to transport himself to wherever Freeza was.
He walked to the Environment Digitizer, hoping he could receive a challenge from the new Freeza. He gave his request to the Yardrat-Seijin, and entered the ED. Soon, the appearance of the room changed dramatically. It went from its previous state to the form of a strange room that he had never seen before. He was standing in the middle of a throne room of some sort, and soon, he could feel various sources of ki around him. His eyes soon came upon the sight of Freeza, but he was somehow different. He was much more powerful than before, but his body was completely mechanized. He had become a new Mecha-Freeza!
Sitting on the throne was another being that looked much like Freeza’s Second Form. He wore armor like the members of the Planet Trade Organization, as well as a large cape. Gokou sensed that the stranger’s ki was immense as well.
He felt many other people around him, and looked at them. Some of them seemed very weak, however…there were three or four of them, standing closer to Gokou, whose ki sources seemed more powerful than members of the Ginyu Force. He looked at all of their shocked expressions, and smiled.
"THE MONKEY?" cried a familiar voice. "HOW DID HE GET HERE?"
"Is this the so-called Super Saiyajin you’ve been telling me about, Freeza?" asked the tall stranger. "He doesn’t look so tough."
"Just wait until he transforms," said Mecha-Freeza. "Then he’ll be much more powerful. But I won’t let him transform! KURUNSU FORCE! ATTACK!"
Gokou sensed five large sources of ki suddenly growing in power. Each one was even more powerful than all of the Ginyu Force combined. Each one had also been mechanically upgraded like Freeza. He looked at each one introduce themselves.
First up was a rather short but frightening young lady. She had ice-blue skin and even lighter blue long hair that flowed down to the ground. Parts of her hair were mechanical as well, and some of her locks seemed to form a network of wires. These wires attached to her left arm, where there was a powerful energy cannon capable of firing very fast and precise shots. Her armor had been specially tailored to turn into a skirt at the bottom. "Prepare yourself, Monkey, for BEBIRUSOU!"
Stepping forward was a much taller and more muscular warrior with six metallic tentacles flowing out of his back in addition to his normal arms. His skin was dark sienna with green, fuzzy hair. His massive body seemed to come bursting out of his armor. "If you want to live, escape now, or die at the hands of MIRIKAWA!"
Next was a pair of warriors, one small, but taller than Bebirusou, and another almost as tall as Mirikawa, only more muscular. The shorter one had dark brown hair with beads dangling from it. Around his neck was a metallic collar of some sort. His right arm was adorned with several weapons: laser blades, guns, and chains, just to name a few. His body looked frail and his skin was quite pale, but he spoke with a screeching voice, probably due to the metal neck-brace he wore. The other warrior that looked like him also came forth, smiling, with his eyes closed. He had metal eyelids. He wore a pair of gloves with long, sharp claws on the ends. The two of them had strange metal antennae coming out of their heads, like those of roaches. Gokou guessed they were meant to communicate with each other. The first spoke with his screeching voice. "I’ll make sure you die! I’ll rip your body apart and feast on your blood! I am KARAMERO!"
The other one spoke. His voice sounded normal, very much unlike the first. But when he opened his eyes, a bright light shone from them that nearly blinded Son Gokou. He spoke quickly, but loudly. "I can’t wait to get my claws on you…I’m KADABERO!"
Son Gokou’s eyes fell upon an enormous body. At first glance, the warrior seemed to be an organic life form wearing metallic armaments. But Gokou noticed a glowing light move along the warrior’s skin. It looked like energy moving through circuits. This fighter’s body had become so mechanical that almost every part of his body had been replaced. Gokou knew that these fighters had their bodies mechanized because of their greed for power. Gokou knew this fighter was the perfect successor to Captain Ginyu. When he spoke, his mouth hardly moved, because of all the wires going into his collarbone. His voice was nearly a whisper at first, but to exert his superiority, he shouted when he had to. "I am…the undefeatable…undisputed…ultimate soldier…CAPTAIN KURUNSU!"
The Kurunsu Force suddenly assumed a battle stance. "These new fighters seem a lot more professional than the Ginyu Force!"
"Kurunsu Force…call to action…" ordered Captain Kurunsu.
"BEBIRUSOU!" she yelled, kneeling down to the ground.
"MIRIKAWA!" he yelled, standing in front of Bebirusou’s face.
"KARAMERO AND KADABERO!" they yelled, one bending over the other.
"CAPTAIN KURUNSU!" he yelled, throwing his enormous fist to the sky.
A sweat bead formed on Gokou’s forehead. "Okay…" he began. "Perhaps not…"
"Kurunsu Force…attack…" whispered Captain Kurunsu.
Bebirusou flew towards Son Gokou throwing her fist into his face. Gokou easily caught it, and Bebirusou came close. "You look good enough to eat…" She licked her lips, and Gokou stared at the metal, serpentine tongue than emerged from her mouth. It suddenly shot forth towards Gokou. He moved his head quickly and managed to escape the attack. Bebirusou pointed her cannon at Gokou’s face and soon it began to power up. It was then that Bebirusou kicked Gokou in the stomach, knocking him backward, and fired at him.
"KAIOUHKEN!"
Son Gokou managed to use the Kaiouhken to form a shield with which to protect himself from the blast. He had covered himself up with his arms and soon brought his guard down. Suddenly, he saw Mirikawa moving towards him, joining Bebirusou. The two of them began to throw dozens of punches and kicks at him, each of which he managed to block. Mirikawa’s extraneous metal appendages soon joined in the battle, making it much more difficult for Gokou to hold him off. He no longer noticed that Bebirusou had long stopped barraging him with attacks. By the time he relocated her, she was firing an enormous energy blast at him.
"KAIOUHKEN x 10!"
Gokou grabbed one of Mirikawa’s tentacles and swung him into the path of the enormous blast. Mirikawa was pushed by the blast into the wall. Gokou turned his attention towards Bebirusou and lunged towards her. He swung his leg at her, but she stooped down low. Gokou landed on the ground behind her and threw a fist at her. She dodged it, smiling. She threw a fist at Gokou’s face, connecting, and swung her leg down low, tripping him up. Before he could reach the ground, she ducked down and, pointed her cannon up at his stomach, and fired a quick shot from her cannon, pushing him into the ceiling. Gokou began to fall, but he managed to turn in the air and land on his feet, just in time to receive another tentacle to the face from Mirikawa, knocking him down. Bebirusou jumped into the sky and assaulted Gokou with rapid laser machinegun fire.
As Gokou saw the enormous energy shots flying down towards him, he jumped up and began to fly upwards toward them. "You fool…" said Bebirusou, still firing down at Gokou. "What do you hope to accomplish?"
"KAIOUHKEN x 20!"
Son Gokou burned through the laser blasts as if they were nothing at all. He used the Shunkanidou to disappear and reappear above her, and swat her down into the ground. Son Gokou landed on the ground and swung his leg at her before she touched down, sending her into Mirikawa. He jumped out of the way and Bebirusou flew into the wall.
Mirikawa stooped down low and his tentacles pointed straight into the sky. Suddenly, they struck down into the ground with such speed that Gokou hardly had any idea what was going on. He realized that the tentacles were burrowing through the floor. Gokou quickly jumped up to escape them as they burst from the floor below him. He noticed that four of the tentacles were missing. He looked up just in time to see one of them flying through the wall at him. He dodged just in time, grabbing it with one hand. The two below him came up at him and he grabbed them both at once with the other hand. He saw another one coming towards him from his blindside and he quickly spun around and swung his feet together, stopping the tentacle. It writhed between his shins. Gokou suddenly saw that the tip of the tentacle’s blade had a hole in it. Instinctively, he moved his head to the side as the tentacle spat powerful acid at him. It singed his clothes. After counting the tentacles in his grip, he remembered that two of the six tentacles were still waiting somewhere within the walls or ceilings, about to strike.
Gokou managed to grip all the four tentacles he had accounted for between his hands, and used the Shunkanidou again. He and Mirikawa disappeared. When they reappeared, Gokou was slamming his adversary into the ground. The two other tentacles had ended up two inches from his face in the teleportation. He had teleported just in time.
Son Gokou drifted down to the ground. Without warning, he suddenly fell down. He looked at his foot, and noticed a long, metal chain wrapped around it. He traced the source to Karamero. The small fighter smiled and began to spin around, swinging his adversary along for the ride. Gokou found it impossible to control himself. He began to crash through several walls and beams. He decided that enough was enough…
"KAIOUUUUUUHHH…"
The iron fist of Kadabero interrupted son Gokou. The giant chuckled and gripped Gokou’s throat between his claws. Gokou noticed that the tips of Kadabero’s antennae started to glow. He quickly turned and saw Karamero smiling at him, still gripping him with his long chain. Suddenly, out of Karamero’s back came a pair of large, blue flames. Gokou realized that Karamero had rocket boosters built into him. Karamero suddenly rose up towards the sky. His leg began to rise, but Kadabero kept his tight grip around the Saiyajin’s neck. Gokou was being stretched out of shape. His mouth opened and he cried out in pain, but the blood that spat out of the space between his lips drowned his voice out. He weakly powered up…
"KAIOUHKEN…x 30!"
Son Gokou managed to wrench Kadabero’s hand off of his throat, and swung his tied leg at the fighter’s face. The force swung Kadabero into the far wall, and snapped the chain at the same time. Karamero flew up into the ceiling. He flipped backward and found his head trapped in it. A long laser blade suddenly burst from his metal hand, and Karamero jutted it into the ceiling, and cut a small circle out. Now, in addition to the collar around his neck, Karamero was bound by a circular section of metal. He closed his eyes, leaned back a little, and began to breathe in. Several lights around his collar began to light up, filling up a meter that circumvented the perimeter of the collar. Gokou waited while the light soon reached all the way around the collar to the point where it started. Karamero opened his eyes again and stopped inhaling.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Son Gokou flew backwards from the immense force of Karamero’s enormous cry. He found himself being pushed into the wall, forming a prodigious crater. He managed to open his tear-soaked eyes and brave the wind and watch as the light bar around Karamero’s neck collar shrunk back to nothing. Karamero stopped shouting.
Gokou flew with an incredible burst of energy towards Karamero who had just finished yelling. Karamero’s eyes grew wide as Gokou suddenly surrounded his body with a Kaiouhken x 50 and punched him right in the jaw.
Gokou watched as Karamero fell down and skidded along the floor away from him. His antennae glowed again.
Gokou suddenly used the Shunkanidou to disappear, just as Kadabero’s mighty claw swung at him. Kadabero looked around, then up, with a shocked glow in his eyes. Gokou came down and kicked him in the jaw, pushing him down a little. Gokou landed on the ground, and swung his leg backwards, sending Kadabero spinning away. Gokou suddenly turned and swatted a long laser blast from Karamero away from him. Karamero activated his boosters and rushed towards Gokou, pointing his laser blade at him. Gokou grabbed the warrior’s outstretched arm and with the other hand, smacked him down onto his knee. Karamero coughed violently, and Gokou swung his leg into his backside, knocking him headfirst into Kadabero’s stomach.
Gokou flared up again with the energy from his Kaiouhken and ran towards the two members of the Kurunsu Force. Just as they came to, they jumped towards the Saiyajin and began to rapidly throw punches and kicks at him. Gokou dodged each one with his incredible speed and grabbed two arms, his own arms crossed. Gokou swung his arms down to his sides, pulling Karamero and Kadabero down into the ground fast. He turned to face Captain Kurunsu.
The mechanical monster slowly moved forward. His metal arms and legs were the size of tree trunks. His massive metallic chest rose and fell as he breathed, exhausting steam from its vents. The electric lights ran down his skin circuits faster and faster. His smile was cold and sinister. Son Gokou looked into the eyes of his enemy, staggering at the size of his enormous ki.
"Fear me…I shall execute you, Son Gokou…DIE!" yelled Captain Kurunsu as the lights all over him began to illuminate. Gokou could hear all sorts of engine sounds and spinning turbines emanating from his body.
"He’s almost purely mechanical…" thought Gokou. "The only part of his that isn’t metal is his head…he didn’t get these metal parts because he needed it…it was his greed for power!"
As Captain Kurunsu continued to power up, Son Gokou charged up his ki as well. His hair slowly rose up above his head. His eyes began to take on a light green tint. The flaming energy around him slowly turned yellow. Gokou let out a huge battle cry, and his ki exploded with the power of the Super Saiyajin.
His hair and ki golden, Gokou’s arms fell to their sides, and he stared at Captain Kurunsu. The golden flame disappeared, and the Super Saiyajin watched as Captain Kurunsu finally terminated his seemingly endless process of accumulating power.
The two of them stared at each other intently. Everyone in the room was silent, save a small fidget of fear in the chair of King Cold. Everyone stared, amazed, at Son Gokou. Although Kurunsu seemed calm and collected, Gokou was sure that if his enemy had armpits, they would be quite moist.
Captain Kurunsu lay on the ground, an enormous bruise on his face, behind Freeza. The mechanical monster slowly sat up from the floor, and began to walk back towards the Super Saiyajin, his heavy feet causing tremor after tremor. He growled at Gokou, who still pointed his fist forward, frozen in the position of the point of impact with Kurunsu’s face. Captain Kurunsu had just stepped beside King Cold’s throne when he suddenly lunged forth, rearing back his metal arm. The hand was pulled inside the sleeve of the Captain’s armor, and in its stead came a large claw. The claw opened wide and soon closed around Gokou’s neck, but the Super Saiyajin was gone. Kurunsu found himself face down in the floor, just having received a powerful blow to the back of the neck. He slowly lifted his face off the floor, watching some of his own cables dragging on the floor, shooting out sparks. He slowly turned and pointed the claw at Gokou’s face, and closed it. The closed claw began to spin around with incredible speed, and soon began to glow. The claw was building up energy, and Gokou moved his foot out to the side to gain a better footing. The claw shot at Gokou, spinning like a drill. Gokou easily avoided it by ducking down, but the claw came within an inch of the wall, turned around, and sped back. It still spun, still glowing with the energy it had been charging up. Suddenly, the claw opened up, and a long energy beam came flying out of the opened claw, right at Son Gokou. The Super Saiyajin turned around to see where it was. Captain Kurunsu made his move…
Gokou stared at the claw firing at him, holding his left hand at it. With his other hand, he gripped down hard on Captain Kurunsu’s arm. The beam from the flying claw was stopped by Gokou’s hand, but the claw kept flying forward. Soon, Gokou was holding the claw itself, his palm right over the barrel where the beam came out, and between the two blades of the claw. He crushed it in this hand, and moved his hand over to the other, holding them close together.
"KAMEHAME HA!"
Son Gokou fired point-blank, blasting Captain Kurunsu to the far wall. He landed with a large thud. Gokou teleported in front of the Captain’s face, and smirked. Kurunsu jumped up and challenged Gokou again.
"You…may be a Super Saiyajin…but I…I am Captain Kurunsu…of the…Kurunsu Force…I will not be defeated by the likes of you…THE CAPTAIN’S COMING TO GET…OOOOUUUUGGGGHHHH!"
The Kaiouhken-charged fist in Kurunsu’s stomach silenced him, destroying his power source, and igniting several fuel lines. Gokou ripped his fist upward, out of Kurunsu’s right shoulder, and jumped several feet backward, as the Captain lay on the ground, his metal body almost completely disabled. Son Gokou considered his enemy defeated. He turned toward Freeza.
"Well, Monkey…it looks like you’ve managed to defeat the Kurunsu Force…would you care for a real challenge?" he asked.
"I will destroy you Freeza…I will make sure you never harm anyone again…" said Son Gokou. He powered up his ki.
"KAIOUHKEN!"
Son Gokou leapt forward towards his enemy.
"YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!" yelled Freeza.
Son Gokou’s fist flew towards Freeza’s face, but the mechanized tyrant quickly ducked down and swung his tail at Gokou, wrapping it around his outstretched forearm, and quickly swung him into the ground behind him. With his free hand, Gokou grabbed Freeza’s tail and pulled him down to the ground. Gokou jumped up towards the sky, and turned his body around so that he stood on the ceiling.
"KAIOUHKEN x 50!"
Son Gokou exploded from the ceiling, bursting a hole in it, and rocketed down at Freeza, causing the walls around him to crumble. Gokou’s fist landed on Freeza’s face, and the force caused the floor to cave in. Gokou and Freeza landed on the floor in the ship’s Energy Generator Room. Dozens of batteries were lined up in the enormous room like pillars, providing the perfect hiding place for Freeza. He promptly ducked between several pillars.
"YOU CAN’T GET AWAY FROM ME, BASTARD!" yelled Gokou. He tore through the huge generator batteries, locking onto Freeza’s ki. "YOU CAN’T ESCAPE ME
NOW!" yelled Gokou as he swung his leg at Freeza. Freeza jumped to his left on one of the tall batteries, and jumped off, pointing his foot at Gokou’s face. Gokou was knocked backward. With the same foot that he kicked Gokou in the face with, Freeza touched down on the ground, turned and swung his fist into Gokou’s face. He then bent his knee, and jumped, kneeing Gokou in the stomach, and followed with an elbow to Gokou’s lower back. Gokou flipped over Freeza’s leg, and landed on his back on the ground. Gokou opened his eyes and quickly sat up as Freeza’s fist landed in the ground. He turned towards Freeza, and as he began to rise to his feet, he received another kick in the face, followed by a tail swat. Gokou flew through several batteries, and collided with the wall, front first. Gokou slowly turned around and saw Freeza flying towards him. Freeza suddenly fired several large ki blasts at Gokou. The beams crushed him against the wall. Gokou fell limp to the ground, and Freeza landed in front of him. Gokou looked up and saw Freeza smiling at him. He quickly teleported behind him and swung his leg at him, but Freeza blocked it. Gokou was surprised to find that Freeza had managed to detect his movement and avoid it. Freeza’s tail suddenly swatted Gokou in the chin with such speed and force that he flew backwards into another battery.
"I don’t get it," thought Gokou. "How could he possibly be able to detect my location? I thought he couldn’t sense ki…"
Freeza turned to face Gokou, with an evil glint in his eye.
"Of course! How could I have been so stupid?" thought Gokou. He rose to his feet and powered up.
"KAIOUHKEN x 70!"
Gokou rocketed backwards away from Freeza, and when he landed, he cupped his hands together and reared back. "He’s got some new kind of Scouter in his eye…it must be directly connected to his brain to locate my ki faster than ever possible…Well, your technology can’t win against me, Freeza!"
"KA…ME…HA…ME…HAAAAAAAA!"
Freeza suddenly pushed his hands forward, trying to block Gokou’s blast. The beam struck his body, and he was pushed back into the far wall. Gokou changed the trajectory of his blast, aiming it directly at Freeza’s face. Freeza squealed in pain, and there was a sudden explosion, and Gokou stopped shooting.
Freeza knelt on the ground, clutching his face. "My…my Super-Scouter! You…you destroyed it!"
"Now then, Freeza! YOU’RE MINE!"
Gokou suddenly disappeared. Freeza decided he wouldn’t allow Gokou to get too close. He began to power up his ki and created a large explosion around his body, forming a shield. Gokou found himself having teleported right into the range of the explosion. He was blasted backward. Freeza jumped into the air, performed several aerial flips, and came flying down, feet-first, right into Gokou’s stomach, crushing him to the ground. Gokou swung his leg high up into Freeza’s back, knocking him off. Gokou rose to his feet and turned towards Freeza. His eyes grew wide as a giant ball of ki energy came flying at him. Gokou jumped up to avoid it. He looked down at the ball of energy moving beneath his legs, only to get knocked in the back of the head by Freeza’s fists. He fell to the ground face-first, slowly rising. He powered up the Kaiouhken x 70 again, knocking Freeza off of him. Freeza staggered away, looking at the back of this burning Super Saiyajin. Son Gokou suddenly turned and glared at Freeza.
"Enough toying with you, Monkey…" said Freeza. "Now you DIE!" Freeza began to power up to incredible heights. He pushed his hands towards Gokou and threw an enormous blast at him.
"KAMEHAME HA!"
Gokou’s energy beam clashed with Freeza’s, but the beam that Freeza shot quickly won over Gokou’s blast, pushing it back, almost to its root.
"KAIOUHKEN x 100!"
A huge explosion circled Gokou, destroying several more batteries around him, and forming a crater in the area he stood. He looked at Freeza. To his horror and amazement, Freeza’s beam still had a considerable advantage over his own. What’s more, his body was beginning to give out. He couldn’t hold up much longer, and he couldn’t focus the energy to teleport out of the way. His enormous blast was slowly being pushed back towards his own. "I…I’m losing…no…No!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Son Gokou found himself back in the Environment Digitizer, but something was wrong. He suddenly felt a lot heavier than before, then lighter, heavier, lighter, lighter, heavier, and it changed over and over like that. He felt cold, then very hot, and it would change like that as well.
Gokou felt a peculiar rumbling. He ran out of the Environment Digitizer, and looked around. The shifts in gravity and temperature were happening again. He focused on the closet Yardrat-Seijin he could find, and teleported to it.
"Hey, what’s going…WHAT THE HELL?"
Son Gokou looked up, and saw that the ceiling was completely gone, exposing the inside of the base to the conditions outside. Rainwater fell in through this enormous hole, and Gokou stared at the sky in horror at the spectacle before him. It was the Storm Dragon.
"THE STORM DRAGON? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?" cried Gokou.
"He is attacking our base so that he can feed on us and become stronger."
The Storm Dragon began to fly away from the area where he and the Yardrat-Seijin were. Son Gokou looked around. "Where’s Pei?"
"Pei is still in her room."
"BUT THAT’S WHERE THE STORM DRAGON IS HEADED!"
"I am trying to focus on her ki now so that I can teleport her here, but I am having trouble getting a fix because of the Storm Dragon."
"Looks like I’ll have to get her the old-fashioned way…"
"Do not be reckless, Gokou. I will soon be able to lock onto her."
"There’s no time for that! The Storm Dragon probably has her now! I’m going!"
"Do not go after her, Son Gokou. She is very ill, and has a deadly disease. You could contract it."
"I DON’T CARE! I’M COMING, PEI!" Gokou powered up and flew off in the direction of Pei’s room, where the Storm Dragon was going. The Yardrat-Seijin continued to warn him, but it was too late.
The Super Saiyajin raced down the hall, following the trail of destruction, sensing that immense ki. It grew the closer he rushed to it. He decided that there was no time to try and fight it off. Priority One was to get Pei out of there.
But then what? What was he going to do next? Was he going to try and defeat it? How? He was nowhere near that horrible monster's strength, and it seemed that there was no way he could ever hope to surpass it.
Nevertheless, Gokou continued to rush forward, seeing several rocks and broken walls lying around him. He stopped when he reached Pei’s room, and saw the Storm Dragon standing over her.
"PEI!" cried Gokou. The Storm Dragon turned towards Gokou. "Just what do you think you’re doing? I’ll kill you if you harm Pei!"
The Storm Dragon let out a long, loud roar, and as it roared, Gokou could feel himself getting hotter and heavier. Gokou covered his face, waiting for it to stop.
Gokou staggered back a little, as his entire body throbbed. He could barely continue to breathe, but he could care less. "I’ll smash you…I don’t care what it takes…I’ll destroy you…I’LL KILL YOU!"
Gokou erupted in an enormous explosion of ki that illuminated the entire room, and brightened the stormy night sky. Gokou released a long, painful roar, and there was another tremendous explosion that cast Gokou flying into the Storm Dragon’s face. Gokou’s burning fist crashed into the Storm Dragon’s cheek, turning its face around so quickly that it almost broke its neck. Gokou swung his leg upward, connecting with the bottom of the Storm Dragon’s chin, knocking it backward. The monster fell on the ground, neatly laid out in front of Pei’s bed. Gokou rushed to her bedside.
"Don’t…come any closer…you’ll get sick from me…I can get up myself…"
The Storm Dragon’s body trembled as it slowly began to rise. "Stand back, Pei…he’s mine…"
The Storm Dragon slowly turned around to face Gokou again. It managed to rise to its feet, and took a step towards the Saiyajin. Gokou motioned for Pei to back up, as he began to power up again.
"KAIOUHKEN x 20!"
Son Gokou stood his ground as the Storm Dragon looked at him. A glowing, green liquid drooled from its mouth. It’s eyes trembled, and his body quivered. It exploded its flaming radioactive ki again, and let out a long, shrill, cry.
"Huh?" asked Gokou. "What’s it…doing?"
The Storm Dragon’s head drooped, and it exploded in another discharge of radioactive energy. It then fell to the ground, and began to squirm.
"It’s in horrible pain…" said Pei. Gokou rushed to its side.
"All that power…it must be too much for it to handle…" said Gokou.
"The Storm Dragon has a naturally erratic ki. Most living things in this Universe that cannot control their ki do not use it at all. However, once the Storm Dragon started to learn to use its power, it became so high that it was out of control," said Pei.
Gokou slowly approached the Storm Dragon, slowly and cautiously. "Don’t worry, it’s okay…" he began, reassuringly. "Just take it easy."
Son Gokou began to closely examine the Storm Dragon, as it continued to emit spontaneous outbursts of ki energy. "It’s struggling to push its ki down, because it knows that if he allows his ki to stay at its normal level, it could destroy the entire planet…"
"I think I can help him…" said Pei.
"How?" asked Gokou, as Pei rose to her feet. She began to focus her ki, and the Storm Dragon started to glow. Gokou could feel the huge winged lizard’s ki rising, only at a more even pace. Pei was helping the creature’s ki stabilize, so that it could control it. The Storm Dragon stopped squirming, and slowly began to sit up, and finally rise to its feet. Son Gokou could see a smile curling on its lips, as its eyes slowly closed. Gokou suddenly felt a lot lighter, and the temperature was a cool, comfortable one. The strong winds reduced to a cool breeze. The raining stopped, the clouds parted, and the sky became a beautiful bright blue again.
The Storm Dragon floated out of the Yardrat-Seijin’s base, and its body began to glow again. Suddenly, the broken rocks and stones that built the Yardrat-Seijin’s home rose up and locked back into place, returning the building to normal.
Just through the final crack being filled, Gokou could make out the smiling face of the former-Storm Dragon, and its calm, powerful, joyous bellow echoing through the sky.
"It…it looks like it’s gotten better…" said Gokou.
"Yeah…" said Pei. Gokou turned to face her, and she smiled. However, that peaceful smile didn’t last long, and her eyes could not maintain their usual brightness. Pei suddenly gripped her chest, and fell to her knees.
"Pei! Are you…?"
"Please…stay back, Gokou…" warned Pei.
"Is she all right?" asked Gokou.
"She’s doing a lot better, thankfully, however, we’re still very concerned about you, Son Gokou."
"Why?" asked Gokou.
"It’s possible that she passed her disease onto you, Son Gokou."
"Oh…I see…" said Gokou. "Is it possible for her to be cured?"
"As of right now, there is no cure for her disease."
"Is it fatal?" asked Gokou.
"We’re afraid so. She doesn’t have much time left. She would like to see you."
Son Gokou walked into Pei’s room, and his eyes widened at the sight before him. There lay Pei, inside a crystalline chamber of some sort, getting oxygen from a large tank. He slowly walked up to her.
"Pei, are you all right?" asked Gokou, hesitantly. "Pei, can you hear me?"
Pei’s eyes slowly opened, and fell upon Son Gokou. "Little…Karo…" she moaned.
"Pei…" said Gokou. "How are you feeling?"
"Like crap…" she moaned. "I don’t know how much…more I can take…"
"Just take it easy," Gokou advised. "Listen Pei, the Yardrat-Seijin told me that my training is complete…It’s time for me to go home…"
"That’s great, Kakarotto…" said Pei. "From the moment you arrived, I knew…I knew you were destined to achieve the incredible height of power that you now have…"
"Pei…" said Gokou. "You taught me more in just that first day I was here than any sensei has before me…I’ll never forget anything I learned…"
"That’s good, Kakarotto…" sighed Pei. Her eyes closed, and she lay down against her pillow. "I know you’ll become much stronger in the future…"
"Yeah…and if I’m lucky I’ll become a better fighter, too…" he chuckled, and Pei laughed, too. "Well…I guess this is goodbye then, Pei…I promise I’ll become the most powerful and greatest fighter ever…"
"I know you will, Karo…" she sighed. "I’m sure of it…"
"Sayonara, Pei-san," said Gokou.
"Sayonara, Son Gokou…" said Pei.
"Your spaceship is ready, Son Gokou."
"Hey, why can’t I just use Shunkanidou to get back home?" asked Gokou.
"We advise you to keep the secret of Instantaneous Movement known only to your closest of friends. It would be best if you were to tell others that you got off of Namek-Sei by finding this spaceship and activating it at the last minute."
Gokou couldn’t help but laugh. "What a load of bull! ‘AAAAAHHHH I’m going to die! Oh wait, there’s a ship over there! Silly me!’"
Son Gokou climbed into his spaceship, and it soon activated. A door in the roof opened up to the night sky. The Ginyu Force ship floated up, and started to glow. Gokou waved to the Yardrat-Seijin, and soon his ship blasted off into space.
Out of the corner of his eye, Gokou saw a green light flying through space alongside of him. He turned and took a closer look, and soon the green light became much closer to him.
"Hey! The Storm Dragon!" laughed Son Gokou, as he waved at the monster. The Storm Dragon looked at Gokou, and let out a cheerful howl, bellowing a fanfare of the hero returning to his home. The Storm Dragon slowed down to a stop, and let out another shout, sending Son Gokou off. It continued until the spaceship was out of sight.
"So why didn’t you tell him that you are his mother?"
"My Little Karo is very smart…I’m sure he’s figured it out by now…"
Deep in space, an epiphany hit Gokou right in the head. "Wait a minute, now I get it! I understand it! I understand it all now! I know who Pei really is!" thought Gokou.
"She’s the one that came to Earth and stepped on my Grandfather!" he exclaimed.
"Well, I guess it’s okay…" thought Gokou. "I’m sure she didn’t mean it…"
"…After all, she’s my mother…"
