Joint Stock Companies.

Dave Duncan reported that he has registration forms now for
every child in both associations. Registration letters plus the news letter
must now be completed. As well, it was agreed the web site should be
established in the immediate near future.
ICE SCHEDULES
Condition camp will be scheduled for the first week of September
with try outs commencing the first weekend immediately thereafter. Apparently
there will be ice available in August in Kentville and, as well, at Acadia. The
Hockey Regina Inc. Independent Evaluation Team, Selection Coach Selection
strategy will be reviewed and discussed at a subsequent meeting for application
to our team selection process.
UPDATE ON COACH SELECTION
Ed advised the coach selection interviews were scheduled for
Saturday, July 10th, 2004 at Acadia University for the day. A come to Jesus
meeting will be held shortly thereafter. It is anticipated that the Executive
meet with the head coaches for the AAA and AA teams at an Executive meeting and
present them with policy manuals at that point-in-time. A need for division
managers was identified. That individual would also be responsible for
coordinating the try out process. Gun Smith, Glen Mosher and Rob Lane of West
Hants were identified as potential evaluators outside of our association. Dave
Eaton, John Dewolfe, Jim Midgley and Marty Flores and Tyler Eaton are sitting
on the coach selection committee. The Executive directed that Ed ask each of
the candidates to explain (a) what their understanding is of fair play and how
it works and (b) what their commitment is to make amalgamation work.
FUNDING FOR NOVICE EQUIPMENT
Mike Graves was going to approach Cleve's for a firm quote and
Dave Duncan is going to e-mail CCM.
FUNDING FOR SWEATERS
The anticipated cost for 30 sets of jerseys for 15 teams is
$30,600.00. $15,000.00 will be gathered at registration and will be charged to
the parents which leaves a short fall of approximately $15,000.00. Mike Graves
is going to meet with Eric Bezanson, owner of Cleve's re purchasing through
Cleve's and also, a potential reduction in price. Dave Duncan will contact Paul
Doherty with San Jose for prices. Further, it was determined that monies raised
from the running of the conditioning camp the first week of September would be
used to offset the cost of the jerseys.
BANTAM AAA
Dave Duncan will be organizing a meeting with David Keith, Randy
Hussey and Terry Beck re the competing Bantam AAA program. It is anticipated
that Terry Beck will intervene in our favor if required.
Respectfully submitted,
LYNN M. CONNORS
