registered. Advertising will occur in the Advertiser and on East Link Community
Events and Len Hawley. Registration will occur at the County Fair Mall on

registration and a separate registration date will be established. As was last
year, notices will be delivered to all of the elementary schools in our area

on a first come first serve basis. Mike Dauphinee will attend at registration
and help answer questions about the start of minor hockey.
STARTING DATE FOR MINOR HOCKEY
Motion by Mike Graves, seconded by Mike Dauphinee that no Acadia
Minor Hockey Association team will receive more than 20 weeks of hockey and
said weeks shall occur between October 10th, 2005, and March 12th, 2006. Any
games and/or practices which occur before or after said dates shall be booked
by the head coach of the teams involved and paid for by the teams. Motion
carried unanimously.
HOCKEY SCHOOLS
Laurie Dauphinee reported that KAMHA will put forward in motion
endorsing Ed Sherman's Hockey School as the KAMHA hockey school to ensure the
availability of insurance and Hockey Nova Scotia sanction.
FEMALE REGISTRATION
It was noted that we may not have enough female players for the
Peewee female team. Once registration numbers are confirmed, the Association
will discuss strategies to increase female registration similar to the Quick
Start Program.
FUNDING
Dave Duncan reported that KAMHA is registered for the $150.00

Acadia Minor Hockey Association donate two Quick Start registrations to the Kid

In relation to the Department of Health and Fitness Promotion
Grant and the Quick Start Program, we have not met the criteria for the final
installment because we have not obtained the parental consent forms so that the
Quick Start players can be tracked. The application form for the Quick Start
Program this year will be amended accordingly to provide for the tracking.
Motion by Laurie Dauphinee, seconded by Lynn Connors that any
government grant received for program funding or to defer registration expenses
by Acadia Minor Hockey Association shall be prorated between KAMHA and East
