Non-riding Staff
1. Ashtasse (f, 21)
Ashtasse is more widely known around the castle as 'the cute blonde girl who
shows you places you never wanted to know existed'. She is an extremely
motivated, optimistic person that jumped when the job of tour operator and
pr-specialist was presented to her. Her lake-blue eyes sparkled with
happiness and since then, no-one has been able to stop the whirling vortex
of knowledge that the girl is. She can be a real help when you need to find
some obscure, forgotten storeroom, but also a real pain in the ass when all
you needed was to get to the library and she insists on telling you every
single detail she knows about it... which is a lot.
Her favourite game, no surprises there, is hide and seek.

5. Darren (m, 19)
Darren is the latest Faerie Drak keeper. You can hardly say he's interested
in his job, but Faerie draks tend to be able to take care of themselves
anyway. He inherited the Faerie Drak Cavern job from his father who is
currently away on business, leaving Darren as their only son as the single
one he'd allow to take over. So basically Darren's stuck with the job and he
makes sure he covers the basic cares.
One can usually find Darren wandering around the castle halls and forest,
observing the ninja's train (since he secretly wanted to join them but
wasn't allowed to by his mother) and playing gambling games with his buddies.
Just look for a scowling redhead and ask nicely to see the faeries and he'll
grudgingly take you there.
6. Reeu (f, 23)
Reeu is a rather timid brown-haired girl that would rather read in a
sun-filled spot than run around being useful. Because it was obvious that
no-one would change the stubborn girl (who is as easy to move in her ways as
a mountain) the previous Vulpa breeder started to take her along to his
breeding pens. It was work really suited for the studious girl who'd choose
reading a book over excercise any day. Her usefulness expanded so much that
lately she's been taking over the breeding business, leaving the older
breeder to get back to his own projects (he's trying to make
swirly-patterned vulpas for some reason).
From her appearance, no-one would be frightened of Reeu. She has two long
braids that are always in some state of dishevel and two large brown eyes
that are always shielded behind one of her elaborate glasses collection. She
looks like your typical school girl, but you might be mistaking if you think
she can be intimidated/charmed into doing what you want. Reeu only takes
care of herself and her vulpas, but if you do get her attention by some
weird twist of fate, you might just get to pick one of her pups and take it
home.
7. Loren (f, 31)
Loren, a bright green-eyed black-haired woman is in charge of the pruts
adoptions. Prutses aren't as easy to breed as faerie draks, nor are they as
easy to train as vulpas, but they're still a lot of fun to play around with.
That's why, Loren who always had a thing for equal treatment, decided that
even the little rodent prutses should be able to get adopted. Loren is an
amazingly energetic woman who can make most people grow tired just from
watching her. But even so, she likes to think of everything as a game and
thusly tends to now and again flake off a bit if things bore her.
Though her judgement of the prutses might not have been really practical,
her recognition of cute animals has not her failed her yet. What started as
a small side-business has now grown into a full-fledge adoption center that
loren runs from her own house just outside the castle walls. Especially
young children, age 6 and up seem to be infatuated with the fuzzy prutses
she breeds. Of course, she letting them play with them might have got
something to do with her popularity...
8. Robbe (m, 34)
Robbe is a tall, dark-haired fellow with a perpetual smile on his face that
lights up his light brown eyes until they almost seem to be yellow. You
might know him from his job as the local spider catcher. He used to live in
one of the villages around Acicade, but when his wife, Lena, paired, their
entire family moved to the castle. It is a running gag between him and his
wife that she shouldn't worry about him cheating on her since his favourite
animals, the spiders which he usually has about a dozen of them around him,
would keep away any competition she might have. It's a good thing that Lena
herself is far from being arachnophobic and it's no wonder that their baby
girl, Bekka, is so fond of the little critters since she grew up with them
from the moment she was old enough to walk.
