1.      INTRODUCTION

Acrylic Signs Material Sdn Bhd (ASM) started as a private limited company under the name of Acrylic Distributor Sdn Bhd in 1987 to trade as a marketing arm of UB Acrylic Sdn Bhd, a manufacturer of acrylic sheets.  In 1989, the shareholders decided to dispose off their interest and there was a management buyout and the company was converted into a sole-proprietorship under the name of Acrylic Plastic Products Distributor Centre.

Since then, the company diversified its products into other sign materials such as banner, vinyl stickers, P.C. sheet, PVC and PE tarpaulin etc.  Substantial amount of its products was imported though Singapore initially.  However, in order to strive for excellent quality and competitive pricing of the market, the company has participated in various international exhibitions and trade conventions and today we import directly from Belgium, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, etc.  Furthermore, we also started our own processing division, which provides value-added services to our products as appended below.

In 1996, the company was converted into a private limited under its present name.  Today, ASM supplies a full range of sign materials as well as providing various services related to its products.  ASM is currently the leading supplier of sign material as well as the most competitive sign fabricator in Malaysia.

3.      SERVICES

We specialised in fabricating of directional signs, banner, bunting, flag, indoor, outdoor and road sign, billboard, silkscreen, display tray and boxes, display board, awning, canopy walkway, vacuum foaming, thermos foaming for lamp post, backdrop, etc.  We also provide Inject image services, routing and engraving services.

5.      DIRECTORS

Mr Lim Sun Kah

Mr Lim Sun Kah, 38, is the founder and Managing Director of the company.  He graduated from University of Chung Hsin, Taiwan majoring in Accounting.  He was working with the company as marketing manager when it commenced business in 1987.  In 1989, he bought over the company and led the company until today.  He is responsible for marketing, corporate planning, purchasing and day to day operations of the company.

Ms Lim Guat Hong

Ms Lim Guat Hong, 32, is Mr Lim’s sister.  She takes charge of administrative and financial matters of the company.  Prior to joining the company, she was working with Hong Leong Finance, Singapore.
