Originally the universe
was in chaos without force,form or substance. Then it resolved into
Yin and Yang forces and order was produced out of disorder. Yin and
Yang may be roughly equated with negetively and positively charged
electricity.Nei Jing says that the universe is a state of oscillation
of forces of Yin and Yang and their changes.Good health is a state of
energy balance between Yin and Yang. Upset in the balance is disease.
Working of the life process may be considered in three phases.
- Bringing into existence - stage of minimum existence of
birth.
- Maintaing of existence - living or state of maximum existence
or stage of maturity.
- Taking out of existence - death
This
transition from minimum to maximum to maximum and maximum to minimum
represents the funtamental rhythm or cycly in nature.If only Yin exist
there, cannot be growth.If only Yang is there, cannot be birth. Each
indivutual cell is miniature and chromosomic representation of the
whole body.Biochemical reactionunceasingly occur of homeostais in
modern physiology is nothing but Yin and Yang balance.
