Timeline - Rebellions

Rationale: From your last assignment, you were able to see the many different groups of people that either lived in or settled in the west. Due to their many differences and their different way of life, conflicts arose. This assignment will make you aware of the causes, personalities, and results of the Red River Rebellion and the Northwest Rebellion. In this assignment, you will learn about Louis Riel, which will help you on your next assignment ‘Creating a Resume of Louis Riel’.

Task: Using your notes from class, your textbook and other resources at your disposal, create a comparative timeline for the two rebellions with three main focuses 1) the cause 2) the events during the rebellion and 3) the results. Your assignment is to have both rebellions on the same timeline showing how they compare. The key is not to have them follow each other by time, but by a sequence of events. Each point is to be detailed, indepth and in full sentences. After creating the comparative timeline, you are to include a one page summary of the similarities and differences between the rebellions.
