Here's Gandalf's half-finished robe, and the White Tree emblem that Essay did for Faramir. (Who backed out AFTER we had spent $40 and about 10 hours on his outfit. Grrr....)
My Eowyn outfit, thankfully, was already totally done and hanging safely in a closet somewhere.
All that week, I could usually be found sprawled on the floor, rifling through the boxes, and screaming things to Essay like, "Where are Pippin's leg warmers?!" and "I've lost the scissors AGAIN!" It was insane. But loads of fun.
We dubbed it "Mini-WETA."
The worst part about all this, aside from the cleaning-up time, was the fact that none of the final gelatin pieces came out of their molds intact. So even after all this work, it was Woochie come opening night.
Blasted gelatin. We'll try again though.
