Our Daily Journal |
Blake will be undergoing a new treatment of nutrients supplied by the Synergy Group of Canada. This journal will serve as a interactive medium allowing you to view his progress and make an informed decision for yourself. |
First Week: Sept 18th, 2000 |
Blakes concentration fluctuated between good and difficulty staying focused. We kept his dose of Risperdal the same @ 1.5mg. He continued throwing fits about going to bed, doing homework and would rage on occassion. His room is so bad we can't see the floor which is a sign that his mentality is one of forgetfulness and compounded by us having to repeat ourselves 5 times or more for every one thing we want done. He is excited about the nutrients and is taking the medication willingly. We have only had a couple days where the nutrients made him sick but that was because we had forgotten he needed to eat food and not just drink milk with them. |
Second Week: Sept.25th, 2000 |
Blake had night terrors over the weekend but doesn't remember what he dreamed about. We have reduced his Risperdal to 1mg daily. In school he works well until around 11am and then complaines of being tired sometimes taking naps. He is throwing fits more often and testing limits. His rages have not become destructive yet and we are holding our breath. The fact that he is reduced in his resperdal and not becoming violent is a good sign. Dr. Minettie (his teacher) relays that he seems happier and more positive than before. |

Third Week: Oct.2nd, 2000 |
Blakes Risperdal was reduced a half milligram to .05mg daily this week. He has progressively gotten worse with the reduction of his medicine. He has not recieved a 'star' in school for roughly 4 out of the 5 days. He has become obstinate refusing to do schoolwork at school and home. He is not following directions, stomping when angry and throwing toys. He is currently taking 2 doses of the nutrients (the childs dose) and is fighting it now. I am getting concerned and plan on calling Synergy. |

Fourth Week: Oct.9th, 2000 |
The week started bad with spitting, lieing, throwing toys, stomping, swearing, not following directions and being restrained in school twice. I called Synergy and left a message. They promptly called back and told me I had reduced his risperdal too quickly and needed to put him back on 1mg daily. I told them that Blakes Bipolar was parallel to mine in severity so he increased his nutrient intake by 8 pills daily. Blake is nearly at an adult dose of nutrients but we are still hoping it will do what it claims (though the bottle specifically states that it is a dietary supplement and central nervous system support though it has not been evalutated by the Food and Drug Administration. It also says it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease). I assume they label the bottles to ensure no recourse from any governmental entity as it would be false advertising to claim different like they do on their site. Then again....that is what i am here for...so you don't have to waste your money wondering. |

Fifth Week: Oct.16th, 2000 |
Blake re-couped himself this week with the addition of the Risperdal and recieved great reports for every day of school. He did complain of being tired and became defiant about schoolwork but he got himself together on his own and did what needed to be done. |
Sixth Week: Oct.23rd, 2000 |
Blake is having his moments of defiance but all in all he is able to re-focus himself. He has gotten 'standards' in school for refusing to do his work and is angry that he has not maintaned his 'stars' for the week. He is restless at night and is having nightmares again. |
Seventh Week: Oct.30th, 2000 |
Blake has complained of being 'dizzy' at times. He did well overall in school this week but did fly into a rage one night and punched his window, cracking it with his fist. |
Eighth Week: Nov.6th, 2000 |
Blake has complained of being extremely tired and been lethargic at times. He has flown into one rage this week, putting his foot through a cabinet, and is now experiencing a type of 'tourrettes' behavior with his eyes. |
