It was already December and days were nearing to Christmas. Shun, Ruriko, and Bancho were walking when they encountered Kaoru, Fei, Reiji, and three girls. Kaoru and Fei said that Reiji would be appearing on television. It turned out that Reiji's club was recognized by a producer of a yearly show, known as the 9th Annual Youth Competition. Shun congratulated Reiji and said that he would support them. Reiji told Shun not to feel different because he had reserved seats for them. Bancho went away to call his family and Mr. Hachiman in case he would be seen on TV. ^_^; Reiji looked at Ruriko and invited her too. Reiji expected Ruriko to come this time. Ruriko nodded a bit and remembered the time Reiji gave her flowers. Reiji and the girls said their good byes and went off. Kaoru read from the leaflet that the competion would be on Christmas Eve. (Episode title)
AEGIS operators a huge ranged Invader wave. SHirei knew that it was one of the Fukuoka-type Invaders. Even though the AEGIS Fareastern Branch had improved its networks, Invaders were greatly increasing in numbers. Shirei wondered who was taking charge of the Invaders when the Invader staffs were already gone. Shirei thought hard and had a suspect in mind.
Megumi was with her usual ramen delivery service. Megumi stopped when she heard some clashing and banging. Megumi peeked into a very narrow alley and saw Reiji Kageyama beating the hell out of the hippies. A hippy tried to run away from Reiji's attack, but was instantly caught and eliminated by Reiji's Shadow Edge. When Megumi saw this, she remembered the incident in Kawasaki Oil Refinery. Megumi thought of Shadow and Reiji and compared the two in her mind. Reiji ordered his so-called slaves that they should act as human mimics. The hippies bowed before him and adhered to his orders helplessly. Having enough of the scene, Megumi carried on with her ramen delivering. Reiji looked at the alley where Megumi just peeked. Reiji was grinning.
In the Violet Dormitory, Fei was teaching Kaoru how to knit. Kaoru followed every instruction given to her by Fei but she always ended up breaking the wooden needles. Kaoru said that when she tried hard she always use too much power. Fei tried to convince Kaoru to stop making the scarf. But Kaoru was enthusiastic to finish the scarf before Christmas. For Kaoru, it would be a chance to show her true feelings for "Ukiya-senpai." Fei handed Kaoru another needle, but Kaoru broke it again. Fei informed Kaoru that it was her 105th needle already.
At night, Megumi was reading her notes. O.O Megumi found a leaflet about the 9th Annual Youth Competition on her table. Megumi thought of Reiji and Shadow, then she crumpled the leaflet. ("What was with that man?")
The next day outside WHK Hall, Shun and the others were waiting for Megumi. Megumi arrived and told them that she did not really have to see Reiji. After a while, they noticed hippies making fun of the youth event. The hippies were teasing anyone walked to the WHK Hall. The hippies even made a "blah-blah" speech, spoofing what would be happening in the event. Shun was about to stop those boorish hippies when Ruriko stopped him from provoking a fight. Shun and the others proceeded inside the WHK Hall. Megumi mumbled, "human scum." Before coming with the others, Megumi realized that the hippies were the ones she saw the day before.
The event had already started and Shun, Bancho, Reiko, Fei, and Kaoru fell asleep. Megumi chewed on her thumb habitually while criticizing that the speaker had a weak argument. When it was Reiji's turn to speak, Ruriko woke them up. Reiji opened his speech by greeting "Hello," and the girls praised Reiji's coolness. Reiji proceeded to his speech, declaring to everyone that the world was filled with parasites. Reiji even mentioned about crushing parasites. The parasites Reiji was talking about were human scums. Shun asked Ruriko if the competion was shown live on TV. Ruriko nodded and thought if Reiji was all right. The competion host was shocked when he heard Reiji's repulsive speech and tried to stop him from speaking. Reiji told the host that he was just speaking up what he was feeling. The host demanded that the competition be stopped from showing live on air but the boorish hippies appear before him and one of them pointed a knife at the host. The hippies told Reiji that they loved his speech. The hippies even claimed that they were kindred and everyone else were parasites. Reiji corrected them and said that they were the parasites. The hippies were insulted. Ruriko predicted that Reiji would be in danger. Shun said the contrary that the hippies were in danger. Reiji head-butted, punched, kicked, kneed — used every part of his body to knock off the hippies, quite easily. Reiji continued his speech while still beating the hippies. Reiji said that he would crush the parasites for the future. Shun stopped Reiji. Reiji asked Shun if he came to help him with the hippies. Shun told Reiji to let the hippies go because they were still humans. Reiji told Shun that the difference of humans from parasites are wisdom. Reiji said that the hippies lacked wisdom and respect. Reiji kicked a hippy and Shun yelled at Reiji to stop it because he had gone too far. Shockingly, the hippies transformed into Invaders.
Having seen this on screen, Shirei ordered that Ultra ECM should be spread to prevent TV viewers from seeing the Invaders. The competition show was shut off and the AEGIS logo was shown on every TV screens nationwide.
Shun tried to contact Shirei but there was no signal because of the interference waves caused by Invaders. Having no choice, Shun ordered his comrades to act as high school students when fighting the Invaders. ("Roger, High School Students!") Ruriko attacked with her arrow, but still showed a streak of light. The students saw light came out of the arrow. Ruriko made an excuse that she was practicing for her archery club. Bancho slapped the Invaders with his sandals and said that it was hard for him to control his power! Fei eliminated Invaders around her with her Fire Dragon. Fei's said there must have been gas leak. ^_^; Shun hit the Invaders with his wooden sword while saying that he was preparing for his kendo match. Kaoru pushed Invaders while running and saying that she was preparing for her track meet. Kaoru saw an Invader delving into her bag. Kaoru yelled at the Invader not to touch her present for Shun and striked the Invader. Megumi hurried everyone to the exit door. Megumi eyed Reiji and remembered Shadow the evil Gate Keeper. Reiji met eyes with Megumi. Black rings circled Reiji's eye as he was staring at Megumi.
Outside, Shun attacked the remaining Invaders with his Ultra Whirlwind Slash. Shun did not notice the students outside. Aya, Isogai, and Takanashi were shocked when they say the ring of light released by Shun. Reiji clapped and commended Shun for a job well done. Shun hastily thought of an excuse that he was just practicing for a magic show. Reiji asked Shun why he hated crushing parasites. Reiji even told Shun that if he had not stopped him, the disaster in WHK hall would not have happened.
Miss Ochiai informed Shirei of the various complaints from TV viewers because of the Ultra ECM. Shirei allowed the ECM to be turned off since the Invaders were already gone. (interference waves were gone also)
On TV, Reiji continued his speech. Reiji said that he would fight the parasites until the end before everything resembled into what happened inWHK Hall.
Miss Ochiai told Shirei that Reiji was one of their students in Tategami. Shirei was looking at the screen, thinking.
Inspite of the horrible day, Kaoru gave Shun the scarf she made. Kaoru was crying when she gave it since it was not really presentable. The scarf was red and had embroidered Yotahachi and letters S and U. Kaoru tried to protect the scarf from the Invader but she admitted that from the very beginning the scarf was twisted. Ruriko told Kaoru not to worry since she put all her hardwork into the scarf. Shun agreed and said that he always wanted a red scarf to look like a super hero and then he wore it with pride. Kaoru was enlightened. Bancho asked Shun if he can barrow his scarf for a while. "Dame!" (No!), Shun refused jokingly.
That night, Megumi entered the club room of Society for Political Thought. Inside the room was Reiji who was facing the window. Reiji told Megumi that he was expecting her. Megumi told Reiji that he was a liar. Reiji leaned to Megumi and whispered that he needed her power — only the power uniquely hers. Reiji closed the door and welcomed Megumi to his club.
