Episode Synopses

The episode starts at night where a woman was talking on her mobile phone. But when she entered the subway, the phone was being affected by some static. The lights in the subway became dead and the woman saw some strange men with hats and long coats in front and behind her. Those men were chanting "come...come to our world" which made the woman terrified. Suddenly, a sound of a bell had attracted the attention of the men. A girl with glasses took a look at those men and disappointed that it was only a gang of lackeys. Then the girl threw in several mobile phones and finished off all those "lackeys", who were about to attack her with their built-in bazookas in their chests. The girl picked up several crystals that was left behind and ordered that terrified woman to go home.

"People crowded the city. Running cars are noisy. The street cars, and the trolley cars. The city is filled with these boxes (meaning the cars). The polluted blue sky is not blue at all. People were born in city like this, and people live here. People everywhere, and noise everywhere. Sometimes you just seem to lose your breathe. That's why...I want to do something more exciting."

On the other side of the city, where the street is filled with what people called the "Love Hotels", another girl was talking to a man who seems to be her boyfriend. But the girl seemed not want to continue the conversation and ran into an alley. But her boyfriend continued to look for her. Then suddenly, a twin ring of green light appeared under her feet and she was up in the sky. The girl who battled with those weird men before (i.e. Isuzu Ayane) saw her silhouette, muttered a "found it" and left where she was excitedly.

The next morning, the girl who jumped up to the sky before (i.e. Manaduru Miu) was talking to her friends about being the soccer team's manager. She thought it would be fun if the 3 of them try out together. But then Ayane muttered on the side they can also fool around those men. Miu did not understand what Ayane meant, but then her friends told her better not to annoy her because she's a freak and no one in her class likes her. Meanwhile, Ayane was reading some files about Miu on her laptop, thinking about her being a real GateKeeper excitedly.

During lesson time, Ayane was checking the news through her mobile phone after answering a question from her teacher perfectly. The screen was showing a site of a traffic accident. At the real site, there's a police officer who opened the door of the damaged car and noticed a almost- dead Invader was in it. But it turned into a crystal in a minute. The officer, who called Hashimoto, tried to picked up the crystal, but it was crushed instantly.

Outside the Private Tategami High School, the school where Ayane and Miu attended, Ayane was showing those files to a mysterious man, who asked her to keep an eye on the real GateKeeper. Then he talked about those Invaders were about to appear a lot in the future and they need more people with these special power. He gave a large wad of money to Ayane after she handed him a bag of the Invader crystals. He told Ayane not to work too hard, and said that there were more and more Invaders, and they had no time. At the same time, he clued that Ayane had to work more. Ayane said she had to go and hit the target after commenting the man for being contradictory ("You just told me not to work too hard.").

At a game arcade, Miu and her friends seemed to have a good time until Ayane sneaked up and gave a comment about them seducing men. Naoko (one of Miu's friend) confronted Ayane about her following Miu for the whole day. Then Ayane said to take Miu to somewhere "more interesting".

When they went to a building, Ayane asked Miu whether she want to know about her real power or not. Miu immediately noticed that she saw her on the night where she jumped up to the sky. After some teasing on her power ("Your power, is that as a frog, or as a rabbit?"), Ayane pointed out that Miu didn't know about the power herself, and she will tell her about it in that building. At that moment, a group of normal looking people came to the entrance of that building. Then suddenly, they become the Invader with hats and long coats. Then Ayane opened her jacket and revealed lots of mobile phones in it. She took out 2 of them and started to activate some program in it. When the Invader were about to attack, she put one of the 2 phones in front of herself and Miu, and the attacks were being blocked out by a twin halo. Ayane threw out several phones and more of those halo appeared. Then all the Invaders were being consumed by fire. They were all destroyed and only leaving some crystals behind.

After that, Miu was trying to ask Ayane about what had happened as Ayane was casually picking up the crystals. Ayane asked her whether she wanted to know about the Invader or the Imitation Gates Without an answer, she launched onto an explanation, "The Invaders are everywhere. And...maybe there are some of them around us."

Before she could explain the Imitation Gates to Miu, the Invader stepped in and explained them to her: Imitation Gates were using the circuits in the mobile phones to transform the electricity into Gate energy. At the same time, they started the fusion and began their offense towards Miu and Ayane. Miu immediately suggested running away. But Ayane handed her several mobile phones instead, and told her to jump around by using the power of the Gate of Jump and drop them one by one. Then she sat on the debris somewhere away from Miu and started to type on her laptop. Miu did what Ayane said but was startled because nothing happened. Miu continued to jump around, screaming and dropping the mobile phones. Just before the Invader were about to finish off Miu, Ayane activated those mobile phones that Miu had been dropping around and created a huge Imitation Gate, thus finishing the whole gang of fusion Invader.

While Ayane was picking up more crystals, Miu started to talk about they were going to be on the newspaper's headline until Ayane told her that's not possible because it's the rule. Just when Ayane was going to pick up her laptop, the red Invader from the previous fusion fire a shot and hit the laptop, which made a little bell that was attached to the laptop fell off. An enraged Ayane picked up a pipe inside the debris, open her own real gate and use the Ultra Whirlwind Slash on the red Invader. Miu commented that Ayane was very strong even without the mobile phones and Imitation Gates. Ayane just picked up her bell and muttered, "I've used it again" without listening to Miu and left as the police was starting to arrive at the building.

On the next day, the Mysterious Man who appeared earlier handed a card to Miu, saying that she had become a member of the AEGIS Network as the GateKeeper of the Gate of Jump. But Miu said she didn't want to become a GateKeeper and she just want to be a manager of the soccer team. Ayane just cut in her mini tirade and said that she just want to try something more interesting. At the same moment, the man had left in his car. Ayane also left Miu behind, saying they're going to be partners from that time onwards. Miu tried to catch up to Ayane and asked her to explain more of the whole situation with the Invader.

"People were born in city like this, and people live here. People everywhere, and noise everywhere. And the vicious power is expanding. What a boring city. That's why...I want to do something more interesting."

Okay, here comes the summary. At the beginning of the 2nd episode, Ayane and Miu were chasing a truck-like Invader. Ayane used another cell phone to create the Imitation Gate of Illusions to distract the police, who were chasing the truck too. Ayane told Miu to jump towards the truck. When she did, she crashed into a road sign and they lost track of the Invader. Then, Ayane reported to Kageyama about it and claimed that Miu was really not very good as an Invader Hunter. After Ayane's gone, Kageyama drove away and started to talk about some business through his cell phone. But the call was being cut off by the Invader frequency. So he went out to confront the Invaders--with both his Gate of Discernment and Gate of Darkness (i.e. the black gate)!! But after all the Invaders were wiped out, he began to pant and had to take a lot of medicine, he also said that he didn't have much time left...

Then the scene was switched to Tategami High School. It was the last day before summer vacation. After everyone's gone, Ayane stayed at the classroom and doing something with her computer. Miu came in and trying to help. But she had dropped Ayane's glasses, which she had taken off for a minute. Then Miu discovered that Ayane's glasses actually didn't have any grade (like Megumi's...) Then Miu saw a white figure walked pass the classroom, Ayane decided to follow and the two of them went to the Science Laboratory. Then Ayane discovered a secret switch, which was to switch on the elevator that would lead to the AEGIS Fareast Branch. The two of them went down and reached the ruins of the base. Miu discovered a photo of the old GKs (i.e. the photo from Anime episode 20). But Ayane tore it up. Ayane then walked to another direction with a huge "object" which was covered with a large cloth. She pulled the cloth away and revealing the UP-15: Ukiya's car. Then the white figure, which appeared to be Yukino, appeared. She said something in Japanese verse again. Ayane thought that she was telling them to use the car. Just then, the detector on the car told them there's Invader nearby. Ayane wanted to use another car to chase the Invader but Miu point out that they won't have enough time. So Ayane drove the car out and went to the Aqua Line* (no idea what it really is).

On the way, they were being chased by some car-like Invaders. While trying to duck their attack, Ayane asked Miu why would she want to "saved her pride" (as Miu had failed so many times...). Miu said that she want everyone to live happily. Ayane didn't say a thing. Then they arrived their destination, and discovered that the whole place was full of Invader cars. And Kikai Shogun was the one controlled them. Miu tried to ask Ayane to attack but she said it's no use as there would be a thousand of them (Invaders). Then Ayane asked Miu to carry her on her back and jump up. She did so then Ayane activated another cell phone, which was connected to the Gate Engine on the UP-15. The Imitation Gate of Explosion destroyed all the Invader. Before Kikai Shogun was "killed", he yelled "You... you are...the one who injured my face's..." Then he was gone.

Later Ayane was collecting the crystals while Miu apologize for being too excited, which partly caused them to fall into the sea. Miu picked up a crystal but then Ayane said, "Invaders are infectious. Originally, Invaders are inorganic. But now they've changed. Those who are self-centered and immoral may be turned into Invaders too." Miu just stared at the crystal and said, "so, this is..." And Ayane confirmed that they were human beings...

* - The Aqua Line is a bridge/tunnel that goes through a bay in Japan, not sure exactly where the 2 sides, are but half of it is a bridge, and then there's a middle section that's a parking lot/rest stop/shopping place, and then on the other side it's a tunnel going underwater to finish the bridge/tunnel.

At the beginning of episode 3, it shows Ayane was trying to contact Miu, but she didn't answer. Meanwhile Miu was going to the movie with her friends Chinami and Naoko (who's seiyuus are the same as Fei and Kaoru respectively). Later Miu and her friends decided to go to the Karaoke while Ayane's beating some Invaders in the Oil Refinery (my guess is that it may be the same place where Ukiya first fought Shadow in Anime episode 9). After that she began her way home on a train. But later the train had some technical problem so she got off the train. She reached some residential area and passed a house with a worn sign "Ukiya" on it, and there's a real estate agent sitting there, implying that the house was going to be sold. Ayane soon left the place. Later, she met Ikeda Saemi (obviously Ukiya's sister was married to the boy in Anime episode 20: Ikeda Takeshi ^^), who reconized her because of her bell. She invited Ayane to her apartment.

Ayane told Saemi that she had met Yukino. Saemi was glad that she did. At the same time on the rooftop of Tategami, Yukino was standing there looking at the city. Yuurei Shoujo appeared and Hisame squealed angrily. Yukino asked her if she's going to start some plan. She also lifted her arm like she's going to attack her. Then Yuurei Shoujo disappeared saying that this time she appeared only for greeting.

Back to Saemi's apartment, Saemi asked Ayane whether she has been visiting the grave. Ayane said no immediately. Then Saemi asked her if she still haven't forgiven her father. Then Ayane said that because her father had left her and her mother alone.

Meanwhile, Miu and her friends were at the Karaoke bar. Naoko commented that Miu should be angry sometimes. Then Chinami pointed out that she tried to practice to be angry in their Junior High. They figured out she was hopeless in this area then Chinami decided to sing "Koi wa Voltage * Infinity" (Kaoru's Image song in the game, Fei's singing Kaoru's song...) in the room next to theirs, there's an Invader turning another man into an Invader (the scene was quite disgusting to me so I'm not going into details). Then when Naoko was singing "Annin Toufu teki Ren'ai" (Fei's image song in the game. Funny is that it seems like Kaoru's singing Fei's song), the electricity suddenly went out. Naoko decided to call the staff through a telephone in the room but she only heard "Come to our world..." by the Invaders. Then Naoko decided to go out and see. Miu figured out that there may be Invaders so she tried to stop her opening the door. Her friends looked at her so she pulled back her hand that she had put on the doorknob. Just when Naoko was about to open the door, they saw the shadow of the Invader.

At the same time in the AEGIS Network base, Kageyama had discovered the Invader frequency and immediately inform Ayane. Ayane left for Shinjuku immediately. But the driver of the taxi that she's riding was actually another Invader. Back to the Karaoke Bar, Miu was trying her best to chase off the Invaders by her gate, which didn't have many attacks generally. She managed to find a way to escape but only to find that almost everyone in the bar was turned into Invaders. In desperation, Miu pulled out her cell phone, in which Ayane had installed the program for opening the Imitation Gate of Red Heat before. Just then, a girl with a big sword came out from the lift and started chopping ^^; the Invaders, leaving many crystals on the way. Meanwhile Ayane had already beaten the Invader and drove herself to the building. Before she can really reach the bar, the girl had already finished off all the Invaders. Then a reddish-orange gate appeared on the floor and she put her sword back into the gate. Then she commented that as the strongest Invader Hunter in AEGIS Network, Ukiya Ayane the Hurricane (Japanese: Shippuu no Ukiya Ayane) was quite weak (actually, she had mistaken Miu as Ayane). Outside the building, the real Ayane was trying to get inside the builing. Then she heard a voice from Yuurei Shoujo, saying that "you and I are the same..."

(Even it should be revealed in episode 4, actually the girl who saved Miu was Tachikawa Satoka whose gate was the Gate of Tearing. I assume the gate and summon swords or knives or something like that. I haven't got episode 4 so I don't know the details)
