. Name: Tyoutaro, Banba “Bancho” (unnamed gate of superstrength and invulnerability) First Appearance: Ep-4 Find the New warrior! Other appearances: Ep 5-11, 13-17, 19-24 Birthdate: 27th Showa, October 3 ,1952 Age: 16 - 17 Height: 177 cm Bloodtype: A Hair color: black Eye color: dark brown Previous schooling: Hyogo prefecture Tategami Prefecture Class: second year, high school, class A Expertise: street-fighting Occupation: (non-work) gang leader, AEGIS assistance, Gatekeeper-in-training Weapons: usually bare-handed but sometimes uses his sandals as handheld weapons AEGIS Branch: Far East (Japan) Known AEGIS entrances: stall at men’s bathroom; school-side flowerbed Nominal Connotation: While his first and last names don’t really mean anything, combining them to form ‘Bancho’ would mean gang leader Colors: Bancho was originally attributed to purple (by the lining on his uniform and the background color of his battle animation), his gate color was later revealed to be tan, connoting Bancho’s rough, tough, burly attitude. Wardrobe:He wears his old school uniform. He is also fond of wearing a navy cap (typical of Japanese gangs). He wears a wooden mail around his stomach as a belt and also wooden Japanese sandals, which he uses for attacking. Bancho’s real origins are shrouded in mystery, but he’s been repeatedly labeled a gang leader. Clearly, Though, he is a seasoned street-fighter. Originally, he fought for his own selfish reasons until he lost to Hachiman, an activist for worthy causes. Hachiman convinced him that he must use his strength for the greater good. Since then, Bancho has felt quite indebted to him. Bancho has also been known to offer his protection (and life) to any woman fanciful enough. Thus, Ruriko was quite annoyed when they’d crossed Bancho of the GK candidacy and he followed them to base. Shire was forced to name him gatekeeper-in-training. As part of AEGIS, he assists Megane and acts as a valuable backup despite his lack of Gate Ability. His discreetness leaves much to be desired, however as he could give away important information at the click of the tongue. His terminology isn’t perfect either as he often bungles the references e.g. Gate supers/flappers/sweepers who gate oven/oyanbu (gang leader). He also has an annoying habit of crying for reasons out of the ordinary. In the final battle with Kageyama and the invaders, Bancho was gobbled up by the Cyclops invader. But fear not. At long last, Bancho opens his gate and his strength far exceeds that of his already high-level ability. Notes on Bancho: Bancho is an original anime character who does not appear in the game. |
