In the game her uniform is purple, but in the anime, her purples are on her eyes and earrings, symbolizing mystery. She also wears gold trinkets, another color attributed to China. Wardrobe: She usually wears a Chinese wardrobe with slits up to her thighs. In the game, it was long-sleeved, but in the anime, it was sleeveless. She wears a sleeveless variety of the Tategami uniform in the anime. In the game, she wears the regular Tategami uniform with purple colors, instead of blue. She wears her hair in buns, covered in the game, but simply tied up in a bun in the anime.
Fei was originally a gatekeeper from AEGIS Shanghai. She was on a mission to chase an invader-form plane when she was forced to crash her plane on Japanese soil. After her mission, she took a liking to her new comrades and paradropped back to Tategami as her plane left for China. Fei’s gate abilities awakened when her grandfather and brother were captured and killed by communists. She was recruited by the global military conglomerate, AEGIS, along with her pet monkey, Ukiiya, who had a knack for spotting invaders and their weaknesses. It is possible that in the anime, she also controls the Gate of Hundred Animals, since she was seen many a time communing with animals. There is, however, no solid proof. Fei’s fire attacks also involve animal shapes. Fei’s inner motives are, clearly, to protect those around her as she has already lost too much. Fei is more dexterous than her companions and acts a graceful and active as a gymnast. Her culture shock to Japan leads her to speak an odd type of bungled Japanese. She is often heard saying ‘aiaiaiaio’ when in shock or surprise. |
