Gatekeepers Vocal Album

This was the very first Gatekeepers album and it featured the game's opening
song and character image songs for all of the female gatekeepers in full length.
The music is in good taste and reflects mostly each character's image.

1. Gatekeepers 1970 - this is the game's opening theme.  It will remind you of
Asu no Egao in the way it is paced.  The fact that this is the only song in the
album sung by a guy and that the lyrics speak of "walking the path to forever
while I'm still a boy," closely matches Shun's image.  Although it isn't
necessarily his character song.  I highly recommend it.

2. Eien no Shounen (Eternity's Boy) - Ruriko Ikusawa's image song.  This is a
fresh, slow rendition of the Gatekeepers 1970 melody.  Many GK fans enjoy this
song as it hints a lot about Shun.

3. Koi no VOLTAGE Mukendai (Love's VOLTAGE Eternity) - I agree with the fact
that this song sounds like a cheering squad's rounds.  It reflects Kaoru's
snappy demeanor well while balancing it with her delicate femininity.  Quite a
fast song.

4. Nagai Kami no COMMAND (Long Hair's Command) - Jun Thunder's image song.
ATTENTION! AEGIS North America Fans.  This song retains a swingy melody from the
early 60's and is very western at best.  Jun's style is reflected as she lets
herself breathe on some stanzas.

5. Yume ga Tou Daichi OH! AMERICA (My Dream is to Walk Across the Earth) -
Francine Allumage's image song.  You're wondering, "WHO'S SHE?"  Go check out
the game.  Meanwhile, Francine's obsession for things western is reflected in
this country style guitar rendition.  If you ask me, there are times when she
sounds like Jodi Benson (Ariel from the Little Mermaid).

6. Banshuu No Tolstoy (Late Autumn at Tolstoy) - She talks! She SINGS! She
SCORES! A great character ballad for Misao Sakimori who puts aside her books for
the meantime to admire the beauty of autumn.  She sounds totally different from
her speaking voice and gives "Banshuu" a fresh wash of mentholated water <Nice
Analogy!>

7. Koi wa Fuusen no Youni (Love is Like a Balloon) - Reiko Asagiri's restful
tune.  This song just makes me want to curl up and sleep.  It is very
light-hearted, perfectly depicting Reiko's outlook.

8. Anzi no Tofu Teki Renai - Feiling Fen's image song.  This accurately pictures
Fei's jumpy demeanor along with her odd version of Japanese.  Watch out for the
gongs that follow Fei in the chorus.  A good modern Chinese stereotypical tune.

9. Ouse Yume ni Shi (Dream of a Trusting Place) - Yukino Houjo's slow tune is
the perfect ending to this multi-faceted album.  A nice lullaby that reflects a
lonely and pure character.  Lengthy enough for you to wanna get a pillow and let
Yukino sing you her lullaby to sleep.
