The Works of
Victor Cabazor
Known as Force Vector elsewhere, this artiste insists (?) on being called the 'The Fat-Man' amongst the Aegis folks. Only recently had he considered his attempts at anime-style drawing worth displaying and the images here are examples of the various styles developed. Additional images (and a fan-fic) can be found in his website. Comments on each image are written by FV (even this intro is done by him) and the management will not be held responsible for its content.

Key of Resonance: Warbabes This piece, the proposed front cover of a work-in-progress manga is also used in the Gamers Eyeball:Manila main poster. Because the target output is print, the image's actual dimensions are a whopping 4500x3000 pixels at 300dpi.

Nakoruru-Bust: In the fighting-game Samurai Shodown, you can choose between the normal character and an 'evil' version. SNK labeled it Slash (for good) and Bust (for evil) - hence the 'inspiration' for the sketch. Originally a 'realistic' style b/w sketch, the image was scanned in, retouched and colored in Photoshop. Afterwards, the Watercolor filter was used.

Rhiyanna Stormcaller: A requested artwork by the author of Twilight Age, this sketch was supposed to be a colored image but I never got around to finishing it. To make it less plain looking, the pencil sketch was scanned in and enhanced using PhotoShop's halftone filter and additional shading. For more information about the Stormcaller and other characters in this milieu, check out the Twilight Age site

Fauvian Battle Slave: Originally a concept sketch of Hanuman for a proposed 3D TV series based on the Ramayana, this unused monkey design was later borrowed for the Twilight Age setting. Like the Stormcaller, this pencil sketch was also enhanced with PhotoShop. Check out the Twilight Age site for more details about him and other creatures found in this world.

Cord: Based on a quick sketch, this was close to my vision of how to present one of the many characters that the Aegis folks have played in Castle Falkenstein. Devlin Cord is played by Dennis Ching. Shaded in PhotoShop, watercolor effect was done using a supplied filter.
(size: 45.0k)
Porsche: In our Castle Falkenstein milieu, this dragon-inventor as an infant was adopted into the human family that would eventually make the famous 911 sports car. Porsche is played by Tommy Lim. Shaded in PhotoShop and applied the Watercolor filter afterwards.
(size: 48.6k)
Aslan: Known as the "Aromatic Unbeliever", check out the anecdotes to find out why he's branded with such a colorful appellation. Mir Aslan is played by Dariel Quiogue. No change in technique from the other two cameos.

Aslan/Porsche sketch: A study of two of our Castle Falkenstein characters. To save space, I drew them side by side, but they are not to scale to each other (that's why the Afghan is larger than the German). Sketched in blue pencil and scanned in (naturally).

Ellis: One of my D&D characters, Ellis was 'borrowed' from the PlayStation game Battle Arena Toshinden and played as an Uber-Ditz! Done in color pencils and gelpen ink, only the background and effects were done in PhotoShop
(size: 107k).
Morgan: Sailor Jupiter all grown up? Possibly... Actually, she's a character I designed for a proposed 3D fighting game with weapons (like Soul Edge) during the 3DO era. Unfortunately, due to circumstances far too complex to mention, the game never got off the ground. Pencil image colored in PhotoShop. Text on the lower left hand corner is my name in Katakana.

NEGQ (Neo-Evangelion Genesis Quest): What happens when you bring the cast of Evangelion into a medieval fantasy setting? Here's one possibility (with appropriate costume redesign!). Scanned inked artwork colored in PhotoShop. This "big" image is a mere 25% of the actual size.
(size: 68.8k)
Sera Kurisumasu: So far I only have two images that use this new style I discovered (I call it "noseless art") and the other one is a mascot for another website. The girls are carrying Katakana symbols that spell out "Merry Christmas" in Japanese. As usual, scanned inked work and colored in PhotoShop. I also used a cel-style shading technique mixed with my normal shading style.

L5R the PBEM: Featuring 15 of the characters found in Aegis' Play-By-E-Mail Legend of the Five Rings adventure, the 16th character (the man below the red-headed giant and above the surprised white-haired lady) is a representation of the game's moderator. Lineart, text and backgrounds were all done by me and character's coloring were done by Tommy 'Drachelord' Lim. Both artists used PhotoShop for this tour de force production.
