Jennie Opal Fletcher

MASSENA -- Mrs. Harry McKee, 78, died at 6 o'clock this morning at Heritage House in Atlantic. She was a longtime resident of Victoria township. Mrs. McKee was the former Jennie Opal Fletcher, daughter of John D. and Elizabeth Dougherty Fletcher and was born near Reno Dec. 24, 1892. She lived all of her life in Cass county and was married to Mr. McKee July 23, 1911. They farmed southeast of Massena all of their married lives and she was a member of the Massena Christian church. Surviving are her husband, five children. Mrs. Norman Madsen of Monroe, Mrs. Dean Antisdel of Bridgewater, mrs. Orris Lary of Massena, Rex and Harry McKee, Jr., both of Massena; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Harry Cole of Massena and Mrs. Mack Eblen of Bridgewater and a brother, Howard Fletcher of Massena.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Massena Christian church and burial will be in the Victoria township cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends at the Hodges funeral home in Cumberland (IA) Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m.
