Rex McKee
1914-1985

Rex McKee, 71, longtime Massena farmer, died Sunday at his home in Massena. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Church in Massena, with the Rev. Joann Thomas officiating.

The son of Harrison and Jennie Fletcher McKee, he was born April 15, 1914, in Cass County. On Sept. 2, 1933, he was married to Iada Bissell in Red Oak and the couple farmed until retiring to Massena in 1978.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Jack of Massena; three daughters, Barbara Hues of Adair, Karen Billel of Austin, Texas, and Jean Ryan of Atlantic; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry McKee of Massena; three sisters, Lola Antisdel of Bridgewater, Veronica Lary of Massena and Patricia Madsen of Monroe.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Nadine Brown; his parents; and a grandson, Timmy. A visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gauthier Funeral Chapel in Massena. Burial will be in the Victoria Center Cemetery near Massena.
