The sleepy harbour of Faros. Francesca's cafe is a great place to watch the sun set behind Hrisopigi (in the distance on the right) and good food can be had for reasonable prices at the Gorgona on the far side of the beach. The jagged island on the horizon is Kitriani, an uninhabited rock just off Sifnos's southern tip. A short hillside walk around the south head of Faros Bay to Apokofto Bay brings you to another beach, more restaurants and, if you keep going, Hrisopigi itself.
